We visited before a show at the Opera House and had a wonderful experience. Although we had a reservation, I asked to sit somewhere less formal, and the hostess immediately offered us a perfect high-top table in the bar area. The atmosphere was lively, but relaxed-conversations buzzing, TVs muted, and drinks shaking. We had a great dining experience . We walked to the restaurant after seeing the Hamilton production at the Boston Opera House . ( 7 minute walk which was so convenient ) We ordered the three course meal that also included dessert for $55.00. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced for all that it offered . The restaurant is located in the old city hall building which was very cool. Highly recommend

Their french onion soup was so good we ordered a second one. This well balanced flavorful broth was not salty like other restaurants'. The wedge salad was excellent -we added caesar salad later but I didn't like it as much because the dressing was less anchovyish than the more authentic caesar salads should be.
