I can see why the place would get a bad rap due to how it looks and seems. But the lady was as wonderful as they come and clearly takes care into making the hot food from scratch. Would recommend the meatball sub as she makes them and the sauce everyday.

We were hot & tired after walking around The Freedom Trail...& Sal's was just what we needed. So glad that we got off the beaten path & ducked down this side street. My husband got a meatball sub & I just got a turkey/cheese sandwich. We each got a can of soda...that were ice cold! The negative reviews on here are as dense as they come haha. Me and friends found this nice little hole in the wall while looking for any where to eat after the celtics parade that didnt have a line down the street lol. I thought it was closed due to its outer view but i noticed this blonde hair tatted guy walk in and convinced my friends to check it out. Man was it a god send given we were starving. The owner and her mother have excellent customer service and the guy that walked...
