This place was amazing! Came in on a Monday around 11am. We were hoping to grab some pizza & pasta before our return flight home. They were quick and the food was delicious! We had pizza, garlic bread and some of the best chicken Alfredo we’ve ever had. Our son ate so much so right away I didn’t get a picture of it fast enough. Service was great, everyone was friendly and place was clean. Next time we are back in Boston this will be our first stop.

This Iconic restaurant in historic South Boston is beyond a local pizza shop... It is a neighborhood cornerstone... It is worth a drive from anywhere. Pizza and sandwiches are amazing, prepared meals are out of this way and trust me when I tell you they have a magical chicken soup which will change your life. The staff are always friendly but bring patience because they are always busy, a testament to their food and service quality!!!

Order was over 1 hour late, never prepared, then canceled without reason. Unacceptable, take your business elsewhere. Do not order from here if you actually want to get your food

Food and service is always great. They got everything you need from buffalo tenders to slush. The young guy behind the counter who's always there is great, and gets orders out fast when its busy.

Tiny with no bathroom. Great food, staff was fun and accommodating, seems like most people get their food to go. Good, fast lunch.

I can't say wow enough. First off, Calo is an impressive human. Idk if hes in his 20s or early 30s but he manages the restaurant like a 70y old man who built it up. I hope hes part of the family running it, because hes running it. So smooth, personable, and fascinating. Kudos to him. Everything was fresh and flavorful.
We got:
1) Italian chicken parm rice ball: 10/10
2) Italian sub: 11/10 - idk what all the peppers and toppings were but they were really amazing. We got it all the way and it was delicious.
3) Meatball sub ON GARLIC BREAD: 10/10
4) Gelato: 10/10
Just go here.
Understand it isnt a chain.
Call ahead if you're in a rush.
Enjoy.

If I could give this restaurant a 100/10 review I would. I usually stop by Sals once a month and I’ve always had good experiences but today takes the cake. I ordered a pizza to pickup but I didn’t realize until I had already gotten home that my pizza order was wrong. I was a little upset but I was probably just going to mention it the next time I went. A few minutes later I get a call and they offered to come by and deliver it to me after they closed free of charge. Needless to say, best experience I’ve ever had with a restaurant and he even gave me an extra pizza.

Fantastic, authentic Italian food tucked away in this neighborhood restaurant. The staff are friendly and accommodating. One of the best steak l, cheese, and onion sandwiches I've consumed in a long time
