cozy but lacking portions of chashu. shio ramen is not bad and i like the idea of the portion sizes. also no chili flakes in chili oil which threw me off 😭😭 it was more of a pour than a scoop

The ramen was so crazy good. The flavor was perfect and you can choose a small, medium, or large portion.

The food was good as it was a first time for me to try. I’d give it a try again if I were to crave ramen again. I was just disgusted having to find a strand of hair in the ramen I ordered. Plus the male server there was extremely rude, gave me an attitude when I asked for a coke and practically shoved the tray of food I ordered and in a deadpanned voice went “enjoy your food…”
I would’ve love to have left a tip, but with his service and attitude? Not deserved.

Had Miso Ramen. Good. Taste was flavorful. It’s better if you dine in, only the seating is very limited. Outside seating is available but weather conditions might prevent it.
Price is fair.
Service is good. They are very fast.
Would go back if in the area.

It’s great Shio ramen! During more than 2 weeks stay in Boston, we came here 2 times. Combo with Edamane and Salada with Shio Ramen is perfect to obtain vegetable.
After finishing dinner, we went to Bay Area by walk, and could see very beautiful fire works due to the independent day on 4th July on 2025. It was literally amazing memory!
Ramen is very delicious, staff is friendly, atmosphere is everyone enjoying food

Very satisfied with the Hokkaido style ramen at Hakkaido Ramen Santouka.
I had the Negi Nanban, which is featured as their spiciest Ramen. It will probably be mid-level spiciness for Asians, but I appreciated that the broth is still flavorful and drinkable. The chashu was pretty nice too, and the generous portion of Negi (Green onions), fried shallots, jalapeños, made this a truly unique dish.
To my plesant surprise, there was a Kpop dance off outside the restaurant when I visited on a sunday! I don't think this happens everyday, but definitely made it a great experience of slurping spicy Ramen broth in the backdrop of Korean (yes not jap) music.

Hokkaido style ramen in Boston on a 95 degree day?
Why yes… please
When you see a line of folks lined up willing to wait 10-15 mins in 90 plus heat in humidity for a bowl. You definitely will know this place is legit.
It has all the flavor of that creamy mouth watering deliciousness for you. The noodles was just right of al dente in the broth. Nothing too salty with msg nor was it too oily to enjoy.
We got their salt (shio) and miso flavor. Both super tasty and on point to hit that spot of something soupy warm you will enjoy.
Ps. My two kids (4 and 8 yrs old) engulfed a large and a small bowl themselves. If that adds any more kudos to this place.

I thought the Ramen was delicous, especially compared to what i am used to (from Jacksonville). Small menu so they can focus on the flavor of the broth in their Ramen. You do have to share tables with other guests, which isn't too bad. My only gripe is the service. Waitress told my wife (West African) that it was policy to not put purses or bags on chairs (my wife placed her purse on the chair next to her) so customers can sit there. We removed it and immediately an Asian customer put her purse on that very chair and nothing was said. That same waitress gave salutations and goodbyes to every customer except us. Seemed a bit off and we felt the difference of how she treated us and the other customers. Great food but will not visit again.

Great ramen, quick service, no reservations. Come early, expect a line and plan to eat quick! Not good for groups, seats are communal and close together. Best ramen in the city, but the cashu don is even better!

This restaurant used to be a frequent date spot for my partner and i. December was our last time going. The food was barely warm at the top and room temperature the deeper you went (clearly microwaved.) the food also came out in no more than five minutes which further supports the rehear theory. the waitress forgot one of our drinks and gave attitude about us asking for our second drink. Crammed to the brim with people, which normally wouldnt be an issue but if you cant handle a busy restaurant and your customer size is forcing you to reheat food. Also getting nasty looks for wanting a fork is crazy. I understand maybe finding it funny but it just seems like the staff gets a kick every time a white person or anyone who doesnt know how to use copsticka asks for a fork.
