Splendid and phenomenal experience at Scampo. The food was top notch and delicious, I recommend the lobster pizza. For dessert, recommend Tiramisu and Pelan cake. One of the most unique and flavorful pizzas I’ve had. If you fancy a safe option, carbonara is great. The cocktails are incredibly good, I recommend autumn ash (10/10) and our classic Fresca.

Authentic. Great place for dinner. Everything from the food to the service is brilliant. I let the bartender order for me, and considering how often I eat out... this place is a stand-out. Think about it....when was the last time you had homemade Pecan Cake? And, it was spectacular. Do not miss this place if you have the chance.

I used to love this place. Its a cool setting with an interesting history...used to be a jail. Last time I went...meh. 400 bucks for 3 people...food should have been exceptional. Instead much of it was luke warm. The foie gras was good but came with nothing in the way of bread, lamb chops burnt...black...literally. I was surpised they sent it out...my daughter's gnocchi was undercooked...tasted like flour and water. Huge disappointment on the food. If I spent 200 I wouldn't have left a review as it happens. The service was good...as it has always been. This was a Saturday night though. Food should have been cooked correctly. For the prices they command, the kitchen should get it right as there are dozens of great restaurants in Beantown with better food for half the price. Feeling a bit "had" on this experience. My guess...the chef was not in the house this past Saturday.

When we sat down my wife cut her hand because there was broken glass on the seat. Now; that’s a shame, but the way the handled it was so apathetic - as if it was her fault that she was now bleeding. Then the wine wasn’t what was on the menu, twice - and they argued that it’s not their problem that the wine they served isn’t what was ordered. And the carbonara has peas, ham, and onions in it, which is just sacrilege.

They had so many chances to fix this, and every time they made it worse. There are fantastic restaurants in the north end, just go there instead of this place.

i loved my meal, it was very quiet when we arrived and our server was very attentive. my one disappointment was that I asked them to do something special for my friends birthday and they didn't do anything :/ kind of a bummer. the food was great though!!

Great food and eating environment. The restaurant is setup in an old prison.

Interesting Italian restaurant with a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern spin that’s sit in a former prison. The staff was professional and attentive especially with the size of the party. The team did great. The cocktails were tasty and refreshing. The oxtail pizza was unique and had tons of flavor. The clam pasta was presented very well but way too dry for my liking.

I love going to scampos! 4 of us went last weekend for a birthday dinner out! I was extremely dissatisfied with how we were treated after ordering a bottle of wine b4 dinner. First of all we ordered a Cabernet on the list , it was the cheaper of the bottles on the menu I believe $85
Waiter brought the bottle poured our wine and left. It had been probably 10 min my wife said to me did you order the Stagsleap I said nooo it was to expensive! I called the waiter over to express to him he brought the wrong bottle of wine. He said I will talk to the manager. He came back and proceeded to take the glasses we had been drinking out of already with the bottle of wine!!! I’m sorry but an upscale expensive restaurant I would think would have either just charged us $85 for that bottle or at least have left our glasses we had already drank out of and taken the bottle.!!!! I think it was rude and really bad customer service !!!!

Exceptional-from ambience, to food, to service. In an old jail turned boutique hotel in the even more charming Beacon Hill area of Boston. We tried the lobster pizza as it was recommended and it was worth it. The menu was so incredible; making a choice was challenging. I truly don’t believe you can go wrong with anything. Highly recommend checking this place out. Will definitely revisit when back in Boston.
