Scholars American Bistro and Cocktail Lounge

I walked by this place, but never been in. I wish I gone earlier cause the place is great. Had the chicken carbonara and chimichurri steak. Both were excellent. They have a lot of pizzas that I definitely wanna try so hopefully I'll be back soon. They have pool tables in another bar on the second floor. Seems like a fun place. 

The waiters were not very attentive. The kitchen closed at a certain point that we were not aware of, and it took forever for us to just get menus.

Every year my husbands company holds a holiday “after” party and Scholars is one of the 5 bars/restaurants we go to. Every year I make my way to scholars just for the crispy coconut shrimp. It’s by far the best I’ve ever had! I’m also not sure if it’s on their menu or not!

Food was excellent, group got buffalo chicken dip and hummus plate to start — both great — and a burger, beyond burger, chef's special pasta, chicken parm, and steak frites. Everyone enjoyed their meals with no complaints. Service however was not great. Waitress was not present or sincere. Otherwise great meal in a great atmosphere with lovely Christmas decorations! also the wings... hidden gem. so underrated and unexpected but spicy, perfect crisp, blue cheese on the side; all u can ask for

Beware the bartender with diamond studs and glasses. Incredibly rude to myself and my coworkers. Any request was met with an incredulous arrogance. For what they were charging a little customer service seems reasonable to expect.

Service was very, very S L O W. Had to eat really fast and almost missed our curtain time. Wait staff was attentive, so I don't think it was them.

So mid, bartenders were not attentive to the customers, line was so long for no reason at all when the venue was empty

I was there tonight for the halloween party. It says on their social media that there is a contest for the best costumes. We got ready as 7 people. We asked every one of them how to be a part of it. Nobody knew anything. We asked the bartenders, security including the dj and they said they had no idea. On top of that , we have been there since 9 pm. Around 11:00 pm two of us wanted go get fresh air. Security guys didn’t let them stay outside even for 1 min. I don’t understand why they give us the stamps? If we can not get fresh air for a sec? It was our first time and will be our last time. I will never ever go there again.

This place is lit on the weekends. All cuz of my boy DJHittmaxxx (Evan MB). This guy is lit on all the weekends. Shoutout to him and Scholars. New peeps in Boston should give a try to this spot. Reasonable rates for drinks and amazing atmosphere. Dj Instagram - @djhittamixxx

Good place to chat

Went on a Saturday night with that DJ everyone likes. Pros are that there was no cover. The drinks were normal (higher) priced. I think the crowd was a bit off-putting, but hey, if you’re into rich spoiled kids then you’ll be good here. This was apparent in the music because it was very dance-hit adjacent: Like a G6, Party Rock Anthem… men to women ratio is insanely high to the former. Overall okay, only spent an hour here and went home.

My friends and I went here Saturday night and I just wanted to say that everyone I interacted with that night was amazing! Bartenders and bouncers included!

And a shoutout to the dj, DJ HittaMixxx for probably having one of the best sets I have ever heard! Made the night even that much better.

The food and drinks and employees here are amazing but the DJs are very entitled and very rude. Some DJ named hitta? So rude when I asked if I could do a song request and even more rude when I was with my friends. Plz don’t book him again
