Julian was a great bartender/server. Checked in on us frequently along with our other server. Drinks were great, and hospitality was welcoming. Would recommend

Good service, responsive staff. The food presentation was lacking and food was somewhat disappointing. Ravioli had nice flavor and a wonderful sauce. Omelet was lacikng flavor with egg overcooked. Absolutely nothing on the plate made for a disappointing dish. Potatoes were dry, no seasoning and served with ketchup (?). Irish coffee was terrific even though the mug was so small that whipped cream made coffee spill with each sip.

The food was excellent! I had the spaghetti alla pescatora. The white sangria is also pretty good. Our server Kevin was also excellent. Super attentive and friendly. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Everything was outstanding. Ambiance, food and service. Our server, Elizabeth was top notch. And I would ask to be seated in her section again.

Excellent place, we went to brunch and the waiter was super friendly, he recommended us what options to order food, the atmosphere was very pleasant, it was my birthday and they gave me a birthday dessert

Great overall experience. I initially made an online reservation for a party of 8 and then called when I needed a few more seats. They happily accommodated my request and seated our oversized group in adjoining booths. Service was on point, food was fresh and well prepared, and our party was made to feel welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. Highly recommend.

Great food, great vibe, great service. We had a great client dinner here and would definitely come again.

We've visited serafina on newbury st several times and love it but back bay was SO disappointing . Our served table wasn't ready when we arrived on time. We were fond where we could wait and then they shouted over at us when table ready. We were never offered more water or more wine . Seems 1 glass is all you get in back bay ! Then when we didn't require boxes we weren't offered a dessert menu but handed the bill . Just poor overall . In and out in 40 mins I want a good dining experience .

While claiming to have house made pasta cooked to Italian el dente standards I found my fettuccine to be only average and definitely not the al dente standard typical to Italy. Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive and helpful in selecting menu items. Seaport location makes this less than desirable for frequent visits and due to the quality of the food it is unlikely I would return.

waiter Julian was great. He convinced the chef to prepare a meal that was not on the menu the day we were there. Salad was served dry was bland even when dressing was requested. We were encouraged to stay as long as we liked. Anticipated nicer tables & chairs- very minimalistic/cafeteria like which took away from the ambiance.

Opentable Diner

We had a 6 pm reservation, arrived on time, and checked in. We waited 10 minutes, then decided to eat at the bar as they were seating others in the lobby before us. The bartender was attentive, and she respected our timing of ordering (not everything all at once). After a crispy calamari appetizer (decent, but not enough tentacles), we ordered a pepperoni pizza and an insalata mista. The kitchen was kind enough to split our salads. The balsamic vinegar dressing was so thick, it looked like a paste. We asked for oil and vinegar instead. The pizza crust was very soggy. So much cheese, not enough sauce - could not pick up a slice to eat it. When we gave our feedback to the assistant manager on the way out, he offered us his business card for future reservations. How does that help - will he seat us right away next time? If he said that he would comp us a pizza next time, it would have felt better. After all, we spent about $150 on an app, a salad, a pizza, and two drinks each. Fairly expensive - not a good value for the food quality.

Not a relaxing place for dinner. The tables are too close together and the music, which was a constant drum beat was too loud. Food was very mediocre, not recommended as a nice Italian restaurant. I don't recommend it for a relaxing Italian dinner.

The service was fine. The food was ok - good pasta, bad meatballs. A/C blowing on a cold night. Four huge television screens and pulsing electronic music make the place feel trashy and trendy, not a place you go for food. There wasn't even black pepper or salt on the table. Male host with curly hair was unfriendly and pretentious when I thanked him while leaving.

Some of our party said their food was tepid. The chicken parm was warm but the spaghetti was stone cold. Our appetizers were good.

We had a great time, drinks and food was good. There was an item that was a bit on the dry side but they brought us more sauce to add. Overall the staff was attentive and friendly.
