Shaking Crab (Boston Common)

Signs say open at 11:30am, got there at 12pm but it was not open yet

There were cockroaches. We left.

Food was excellent and it was a great experience. They provide some gloves and an apron for your meal and it creates a fun type of experience to eat with your hands like this. We ordered the tray "deep ocean" which came with two lobster tails, two clusters of crabs, a ton of shrimp, two corns, and some potatoes.

Although expensive, it was well worth it. The Cajun seasoning was excellent and flavorful. However, I do agree with some of the other reviews here. The place does feel a bit... Lacking in cleanliness.

It took the staff forever to even take our order and for the food to come out. We ended up arriving around 6:30 and leaving around 9 because we received our food at 8:30. The food was good but the service was mid. I often give places grace but people who arrived after us left BEFORE us.

Ordered delivery here. What I received was noticeably freezer burn, incredibly small portion of crab and then these blackened (almost rotten, mushy) shrimp - this is a boil (definitely not from burn). Will not be ordering from here again and the other reviews make this place seem like a health hazard

I ordered a fried shrimp plate($15) with onion and a garlic noodle ($6) with shrimp add on($4).

Now the shrimp plate has 8 shrimps
And the add on shrimp has like 4 or 5...now do the math with me...did I just spend $8-9 on onion rings? Am I stupid or sth...

Our waters had a grease film floating on the top of them when brought out. Our chairs, unbeknownst to us, were greasy. Ruined ~$100 worth of clothes with large grease stains that we can't get out (we didn't have anything messy enough to create that).

Food itself was good. Nothing was overcooked and was seasoned well. But I'd never return due to the cleanliness issues and the cost of replacing our clothes. Pretty gross to take a drink of water and notice the film on top of the water as you're taking your first drink ?

Atmosphere was meh, but who cares if the food is good. If the cleanliness was better I'd give it 4 stars, but cleanliness is #1 with food.

Alisson made us feel so welcomed. She explained the menu and helped us order enough for all 3 of us to enjoy. We had the Cajun boil and it was delicious. We added mussels to the order. The food was worth every penny. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious seafood.

On a trip to Boston with the family and this place was great. The seasoning on the boil was just right and everything was so flavorful. The server was very friendly and hard working and was very helpful.

Normally love this place. But as I was walking down at 12:00 am back to my car. I saw a RAT inside the window. I thought I was crazy so I went closer and realized that it was inside the restraunt. Me and my Girlfriend eat here all the time. Never again after seeing that rat just crawling around the windows INSIDE tbe restaurant after closing. PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!! NASTY!

This is a seafood lovers paradise! Their menu was smaller but very good..the lobster roll was fantastic and I kept it simple and had snow crab legs...it was one cluster but fantastic...they serve it in a bag with drawn butter..and they give you a plastic bib, plastic gloves and another plastic bag for the shells..I was great..I had new England clam chowder that was really good because it wasn't overloaded with potatoes..they were cut small not diced and the pieces of clam were bigger..get the fries well done and they are superb! It was a great experience.
