Food and drinks were excellent!! We had a mix of nigiri, a few "shareables," and a sushi roll. The specialty cocktails were really good and the presentation was so fun. Great atmosphere and the holiday decor was a nice touch for December. Service was lovely overall, but they did seem a bit understaffed for a very busy Thursday night.
Such a great place to celebrate the holidays. Came after a holiday show for dinner with family. Food and drink were amazing and service even better.
I’ve been to this restaurant a couple of times since living in Boston. I once went for their “scare leave” pop up for Halloween and my boyfriend, best friend, and I just went to their sippin Santa pop up. We had such a great time! The theming is always great. I love the attention to detail. We are vegetarians and they had great tasty options for that. The drinks were impeccable in cup mugs that you have the options to buy at the end. Also! We watched a live surf rock band when we came for Halloween and then karaoke this time around. It looks like they are always hosting events.
I recommend making a reservation before you go, it’s usually crowded.

Had our annual sippin Santa trip and just like always, it was fantastic! Our server was so friendly and attentive. I will always recommend shore leave
Great sushi and Tiki inspired cocktails. MainTai's are the real deal! Enjoyed the unagi and tempura shrimp rolls (watch the sauce it has a spicy kick). Super fun for festive occasions.
Atmosphere and service was phenomenal, food was meh. Felt like the sushi was prepared hours before.
Had an absolute blast! The decor is awesome, the cocktails are excellent, and the sushi was pretty dang good, too.
The Omakase experience was fun and very good! It was a great experience! The wait staff was helpful and informative.
It was so fun to see their Halloween decor! Very friendly staff and the drinks were okay. The food was also okay, nothing blew us away as a group that sampled many things off the menu. All in all a good experience, but nothing outstanding except for the ambiance.
I like the sushi

Nobody does Halloween better than Shore Leave! As always, the food, drinks, and service were top notch.
Food is awful, we ordered 5 different things and didn't enjoy any of them. Was underwhelmed by the decorations for Halloween - it looked much more spooky and fun online. Drinks were good but very expensive.
We visited Shore Leave right before Halloween and loved the fun, spooky decor. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. The food was just okay. The wagyu skewers were burnt and tough, the spicy tuna roll was fine, the cacio e pepe tasted like a plain lo mein. The salmon sashimi was good. No true flavor in the food overall. Portions were small and didn't justify the price. Our appetizer came before our drinks, and it was difficult to get our server's attention to order another round. Service felt inattentive, and when we paid, our server didn't even thank us. Drinks were good, but overall, disappointing for the cost. Will not be back.
Always enjoy going to Shore Leave around Halloween since they go all out with their drinks and decorations.
What an unexpected semi-hidden gem in Boston. We got the green machine roll, vegetable garden roll and a couple of Halloween themed drinks. Great atmosphere and vibe. Plenty of bar seating.
