Delicious food, delicious wine, and delicious vibes! What more could I ask for. Will definitely be coming back

Disappointed. Our first steak was way over cooked, so they did attempt to fix with a new steak, this one however was nearly raw. Our server wasn't very knowledgeable about the cuts of meat. They did acknowledge our special occasion and tried to make things right, but we didn't feel like sending the steak back a third time.

We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had such a great time! The food was delicious and our waiter, Kishor, took excellent care of us. 11/10, we will definitely be back.

Just a perfect meal to celebrate our 30th Anniversary! Thank you Alana for holding our leftovers until our sunset cruise ended! A great restaurant to celebrate any occasion. Thank you for making it special!

Celebrating my 50th birthday there was fantastic! Not only were they accommodating when we showed up early for our reservation, they were extremely welcoming. The food was delicious and my steak was cooked to perfection. When the chocolate cake came out at the end of the meal, the staff was incredibly gracious by offering to take our picture so that we could capture the moment. This was my first time here and I can honestly say that it most definitely won't be our last.

Our server, Claudia, was absolutely outstanding. She knew the menu inside and out and gave us wonderful guidance on every choice. We were a group of ten, including guests who spoke both Spanish and English, and Claudia made everyone feel welcome and understood by switching between the two languages effortlessly. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made our evening truly special. She's a true ambassador for Smith & Wollensky, and thanks to her, we're already looking forward to our next visit.

My petite strip was like shoe leather. Couldn't cut it. Everything else was great. Too bad.

The burger was overdone. They seemed overwhelmed but the restaurant wasn't very busy. It definitely wasn't the S&W experience I've had in the past. Our server was lovely.

Our Dine Out Boston experience started with a real disappointment as my husband and I were seated at 5pm for an early session on Aug 9, 2025. The restaurant was quite quiet and the host seated us at the doorway which the door kept opening and closing the whole time as the servers needed to get in and out to serve the outdoor tables. We asked the host desk to move us as I had headache with the wind coming in and out, and not feeling well. She came back and said all the tables were assigned already and could not move us, meanwhile the whole restaurant was at 10% -15% capacity at that hour. Thankfully, we asked again with our table server and she helped us to move. We ordered the prime rib and aged bone in 28oz rib eye both medium rare. The prime rib was great while the rib eye was quite tough which was not on par with the usual standard and expectation. Luckily the grilled octopus and coconut cake made it better for the experience. By the time we left around 7:30pm, the restaurant still at 60-70% capacity on a Saturday night and we still saw plenty of 2-4 seater tables available around which meant the host ladies and manager were either lazy or unreasonably dismissive of customer's request which we found very disappointed with service like that calibre at S&W.

Service was absolutely top notch, and every item we ordered except *one* was just excellent. In our family of 5, the only thing we all thought was disappointing was the baked Alaska. The presentation was beautiful, but it just didn't taste good. Overall we give it 9.8/10!!!! Would 100% love to come back.

Started off great when the bread and appetizers came fairly quick. Then it slowly went downhill from there. A few tables were sat after us, and we had to wait for roughly 1 more hour just for our shared entree to come out while other tables that were seated after us received their appetiziers & entrees before us. We asked to server to follow up on the other and took another 10-15 minutes from then for the food to be cold.

First night of Dine Out Boston: Aug 3 - Aug 16, 2025. Dinner with family, friends, food, and fellowship was truly a divine experience. What a blessed and uplifting night it was! Upon entering, we were warmly and lovingly greeted by a beautiful host who radiated joy and hospitality, setting the tone for a phenomenal evening. She seated us in a very nice area, making us feel right at home. Our waiter, Ilana F, was an absolute gem, putting us at ease with her welcoming smile, friendly and professional manner, making our first day of Dine Out Boston truly unforgettable. Ilana F's exceptional service was a testament to her outstanding skills, anticipating our every need before we even had to ask. We had grilled octopus, which I thoroughly enjoyed, crab cake, which they said was delicious, grilled bacon with a cabbage relish, which we all thought was better than Capital Grill. Some of us had split pea soup and clam chowder, which they said were heavenly. My disclaimer: I'm allergic to shellfish, so I didn't have the pleasure of trying any of it, but I was grateful for the variety of options available. Now, let's talk about our steak. My steak was a bone-in rib eye au poivre, a wet peppercorn crust with a brandy peppercorn sauce, cooked to perfection, well done. It was incredibly tender and juicy, a true culinary masterpiece. So I have to give thanks to Chef Jen, whose outstanding skills truly shone through in every dish. πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ. Also, I had a classic iceberg salad, which was very good, and next time, I will ask for salad dressing on the side, a minor tweak to an otherwise perfect dish. The half chicken with prosciutto, spinach, and Yukon gold potatoes with a lemon chicken jus sauce was simply divine. Two guests had a Manhattan steak, which comes in a glass dome that they smoke at the table in front of us, which was truly cool. This first Dine out Boston experience set the tone for an unforgettable night at Smith & Wollensky. Their desserts are Amazing too!

I have been to this restaurant at other locations, but I was disappointed this time. Yes it was restaurant week, but we went at 5:00 and it was pretty empty. When I made my reservation 3 weeks ahead of time, I requested an outside seating. The host tried to seat me outside, right in front of the door. I asked her nicely if we could sit at a better table and her response was, we have many more reservations. I told her yes, that I was one of them and she begrudgingly sat us at a different table. The wait staff was good, they were prompt and did not rush us. The food was hit or miss, other than the rolls, I felt that everything was under seasoned. My salmon was good but my friend's steak had much more fat than needed. Desert was very good. The waiter did thank us but other than that, there are so many choices in Boston, I don't think this will be my first choice in the future

We have been here many times and food and service have always been excellent . Unfortunately, when we went this past weekend (with a reservation ) we were not thrilled . To start off the hostess decided to put us next to the water and computer station near the outside door , when asked to be moved to another table we did not want to sit near heavy traffic , she walked us through the entire restaurant , missing many open tables and put us right next to the kitchen . The waiter was descent enough but seemed we were not a priority . My husband and i both ordered steaks , mine was ok , received more rare to my liking and my husbands was very rare . We both asked for medium . They agreed to re-do my husbands streak and came back 20 minutes later . When finished and plates were cleared the waiter never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert , which we were going to pass anyway but never asked . We had to ask another waiter to get him for the check . We had much better service in the past .
