Came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday! This place was so amazing. We sat at the bar. The service was top tier! Food was great! Highly recommend if you are in Boston! The view of the water was an added bonus.

Great place & food . We lucked out having Henry as our server , he truly made our night special , gave us great recommendations and the night wouldn't have been as great without him. Thank you Henry!!!

We had one of our best dinners here. The manager made a special point to stop at our table to make sure our table was comfortable. The waiter was on point and the ambience was great. Our wagyu steak and lobster special was delicious. We would dine here again.

Incredible experience. Such a special place to celebrate a birthday! Staff was spectacular.

Caesar salad was very good as was the cream spinach but the NY Strip had me wishing I had ordered fish. Our table was effectively in Siberia and our server while pleasant was serving a multitude of tables inside and out. It was 45 minutes from appetizers to entrees. I had to go find someone to pay the bill. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Some lessons aren't worth learning.

Service was poor. we waited 15 min for someone to come over and fill water glasses. It took over 30 min before they asked for our order. We had no food for an hour. A party of 2 for a biz lunch for 1.5 hrs too long. Really poor service

I booked this restaurant months in advance and wanted a special experience for my 40th birthday. Other than an acknowledgement when we checked in that it was my birthday, we were treated as more of a nuisance than guest. We were given a poor table with no view and the service was the worst ive ever experienced at a supposedly "high end" restaurant. Our server offered no recommendations, never asked if we had dined there before or were celebrating and repeatedly left us for long stretches without checking on us while we had empty glasses. My almost $100 steak ordered medium rare was undercooked, but since my server never came to check and we had been there 1.5 hours and I was starving, I couldn't have it sent back. In fact, at any other high end place ive been too, they have you cut into your steak to assure its too your liking, but the employee (who wasn't even our server) just dropped the food and left. The food was good, but not for the price paid, and the overall experience was just so very disappointing. Our server only acknowledged his lack of attention once and simply said "we're really busy". I'm not sure why you wouldn't expect to be busy on a Saturday night.

Gabriel, our waiter (bartender actually, as we were at a hightop), was very attentive and upbeat. He seemed knowledgeable about the wine and made an amazing Espresso Martini. We ordered the tuna tartare which was good but not great, a caesar salad which was good as caesar salads go. For dinner we ordered the wagyu filet and the bone-in ribeye au poivre, and a side of whipped potatoes. Again, both steaks were okay, but neither knocked our socks off...which is what you sort of expect at these price points. Lastly, it was our wedding anniversary, which was noted on the reservation through Open Table and we also shared this with Gabriel during conversation. We were disappointed that S&W doesn't offer a complimentary champagne or dessert for such celebrations, like they do at Morton's and other upscale restaurants we've celebrated at previously. I understand that perhaps I shouldn't expect it...but it is a nice gesture and is noted for future celebrations.

I love Smith and Wollensky. I love Boston for corporate meetings and NY for its old school charm. I recently ate in Boston and we had a major snafu. I was hosting a management meeting with a CEO of a famous shoe brand and a Boston investor. The waiter accidentally gave me the wrong bill for someone else's table. He realized the mistake and had to rerun my credit card. But then he gave me the other person's credit card back. (Both Amex corporate cards). I do so many events at S&W because you guys are so consistent and I can't have these mistakes. I ended up taking the other person's corporate card with me and so I couldn't pay for my clients on my expense account for the rest of the trip. I had to coordinate with my assistant to pay for my hotel, etc. it was, in short, a simple mistake but a huge pain that I just didn't need. Love you guys, but please tighten this up. Thanks.

Worst service ever. We were invisible to them and they messed up on an allergy issue that, luckily, we caught.

Ate at S&W on a Friday night with a group of 12. They sat us at a large table back in the corner as requested. Service was excellent, as was the meal. Their wedge salad with the large cuts of bacon is always a favorite, as is the cookie sundae. Highly recommend.

Another great meal at Smith and Wollensky. Every time we visit, there's personable and attentive service and the food is exceptional. The staff always does a great job in acknowledging comments made when booking on OpenTable. For example, we celebrated a birthday and immediately upon sitting, the server asked about the birthday and without us saying anything, they delivered a bday cake complete at the end of our meal. To top it off, knowing one member of our party had a dairy allergy, they brought out sorbet since they couldn't eat the cake. Great service!
