We wish Solas lease was renewed. We hope to get in one more time before they cease to exist. Hoping the Lenox Hotel doesn't totally do away with the Irish Pub concept and great staff, that we have enjoyed for many years! Very sad to see Solas go!

My history club went to Solas for dinner on Sept 15. Wow, was our waitress rude. She scoffed at doing separate checks and had an angry dismissive demeaner. We had to ask other employees to track her down when we wanted things. Our food came out unevenly which led to some with plates and others not. We talked about how we were going to show our displeasure when we gave our tips, but the bill came with an automatic 20% tip given our party size. Owner, we're happy to pay for the food which was excellent, but can we get a refund on our tip??

Very good salmon and outstanding butterscotch pudding. My G&T was okay. It was quite loud inside the bar but that's to be expected at 6:30 pm on Labor Day weekend. My dining companion forgot her phone and the staff were very helpful when I went to retrieve it. A very nice place overall.

We were seated outside today at 11:45 this morning just before the lunch rush. Fifteen minutes later we left the restaurant after no one came to take our order or serve us etc. Service certainly not on par with the Lenox Hotel.

this was one of my favorite bars when I lived in Boston...
I always visit here whenever visiting Boston and had never disappointed until this time.
Pouring Guinness was not done properly, and it wasn't even cold at all. all other tap beers we ordered were flat and almost something wrong with it. we asked to switch Stella tap beer to Sam larger, but that wasn't fresh either. I am not sure what happened here. Used to be a great place to have drinks. very disappointed. I'm also very sad....

Good service, good Guiness beer, ordinary food lacks taste, bland for the price we expected better

- The homemade potato chips appetizer were decent, but mimicked almost regular potato chips a bit too much
- Excellent beers on draft
- There is an upstairs and downstairs seating; traditional Irish Pub style
- Service was excellent; above and beyond

I was in Back Bay, Boston, for a week on business and visited Solas on two occasions. I was very impressed. Wonderful food, creative cocktails, and a friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive staff. Well worth a visit.

We recently visited Solas Pub in Boston, MA, and had a pleasant experience. The pub was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable atmosphere. The food was good—nothing life-changing, but definitely decent and satisfying. What stood out the most was the service, which was great. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, Solas Pub is a solid choice for a nice meal and good service in Boston.

A great place to take a break from all the walking and enjoy a great meal that even the littles enjoyed! They loved the old tavern atmosphere.
