Dawn is a legend! Chef Gil is a certified genius. Sonsie has been a go to of mine ever since I moved to Boston. It's one of the longest running places in the city that has never lost its step, always offering something new and exciting while never forgetting roots and classics. A must visit for locals and visitors alike. The vibe is always killer, as are staff and service. Food and beverage are out of this world. Can't reccomed highly enough.

Always a great option in Boston when you're looking for a fun yet sophisticated atmosphere. Our time there on Saturday was no different and can't wait to go back soon!

I’m a long time service industry entrepreneur and kitchen rat with 30 years of service under my belt. I have to say in an ocean of repetitive fine dining options, Sonsie was a breath of fresh air with traditional, fusion and unique options that were all delicious. Everything from my initial greeting on a busy new years night to my server Sabrina’s impeccable service and the chef’s dedication to not phoning in his performance to as fantastic. I look gorward to make this a yearly pilgrimage if i can.

Pretty appalled by how far the service and food at Sonsie has fallen. Has been one of my favorite restaurants especially around the holidays for almost 10 years. Today I went there and waited 45 minutes for drinks and then over an hour for food, which came out cold. Servers blamed issues on kitchen and bar being backed up but it was not very busy at the restaurant.
Sad to see a Boston staple fall so far.

as a long time patron of sonsie, it was disheartening to wait 35 minutes to receive my drinks and about an hour to get my food that arrived cold, as if it was sitting for a long time in the kitchen not being brought out… the shrimp scampi was 30 dollars and was basically cold noodles in butter with 3 shrimp cut up, overall very upset as we spent a decent amount of money for a very sub pair meal and service.

We went to celebrate my birthday brunch. My friend made the reservation and put “birthday” in the notes, but we were surprised because the waitress barely paid attention to us. She didn’t offer us the dessert menu and just brought the bill when we finished eating. The food was very good, but the service was not to my liking.

We came to Sonsie for breakfast because of the great reviews. It exceeded our expectations. We were greeted warmly and served with care and kindness by Thiago, who was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the coffee was a work of art! Highly recommend.

They lost our order but said they dropped it. Took 75 minutes to get our food but only 15 minutes For the table next to us. We have eaten here regularly, but just disappointed this time. All they had to do was be honest. Food was good.

Food was great! Thiago was a very nice and quick waiter. However if you have a birthday you have to pay for the desserts

We had avocado toast with added crab. It was good, but needed something fresh and bright. Maybe some lemon juice. The place was busy for brunch and a little more loud than I wanted to. Had a nice bolgierri rosso by the glass.
