I had a pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Spinelli's Banquet Hall and it was absolutely beautiful! There is a private patio with the great view for the ceremony and photos, the reception setup was really elegant, and the cake was ah-mazing! The staff was very welcoming and a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend this venue and hope to shoot there again soon!

I nearly had to sue them for my botched wedding cake. They messed up my cake TWICE. I asked for a cake with a long gold bow and ombre rosettes from pink to red. The day before my wedding I went to pick up the cake and the colors were pink, red and brown. I showed them the photos and the woman who helped me went over everything and said they would fix it and deliver it the next day.

My wedding day comes and they drop of my cake without a cake box. The colors are now pink, blue and purple. Where did those colors come from?? My long gold bow was also much shorter. I called immediately and was told that something would be worked out. I spoke with them soon after and they offer me $85 on a nearly $300 cake! I tried to compromise and ask for half of the money back. They said no because we had eaten it. It was my wedding day! What was I supposed to do? They were firm on only refunding me $85. So I let them know, through certified mail, that I would be pursing this in small claims court and that by law I would be entitled to the entire cost of the cake plus extra. That's when I finally heard from them. They offered me another $70. The same total amount that I had proposed 5 months earlier as a compromise! And yes, it took nearly 5 months to resolve this!

I was a very loyal customer up until that point. I had been going there for over 6 years at that time. I would drive all the way from Roxbury to get their pastries and I always ordered cakes from them. I also recommended them to everyone. However, on the phone it was clear that they just wanted to give me some money to go away and didn't care for my return business. I swore they wouldn't get another dime out of me after that awful experience. Stay away from businesses like this that don't value you as a customer and provide terrible customer service.

We ordered eggplant Parm, meatballs, chicken broccoli and ziti for a family party. It was disgusting, and sadly everyone agreed. The chicken was like wood, the meatballs were balls of salt and the eggplant(my favorite) was like a stew. Born and raised in East Boston, I know good Italian food, and this is not it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the sliced cheese pizza, tiramisu, and spinach cheese calzone; all three were exceptionally fresh, delicious, and of outstanding quality. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

I love the pastry here! My complaint would be when you walk in the door and it’s busy. We found it confusing to know where to stand… no sort of line… just people standing all over. Didn’t want to cut people off.

This is my go to place whenever there is a holiday! Their pastries never disappoint!

It is so sad how this long time restaurant has gone down. I went on a Sunday and ordered chicken massala and shrimp scampi. The spaghetti and shrimp were undercooked. And the chicken massala were like frozen nuggets tasted horrible. Nothing like chicken massala.
They had a bunch of kids cooking in the back who probably worked every sunday only.
It looks like the owner has so many Spinellis opened that he pays little attention to the quality of food being served.

What a great shop. The food was amazing. The shop is clean, they have a great selection of hot food and pastries. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They have a great catering menu as well.

Food was watered down and salty the chicken parmigiana was made with chicken thighs The chicken masala was salty and soggy I grew up in East Boston. My whole life was one of my favorites. But what ever The cooks are doing they’re not doing it right My wife spent $260 on food We barely ate any of it last picture in the chicken cutlet That’s really chicken thighs pizza To me, I grew up with Italians and that is not Italian food
