*TLTR*Good but overrated.I can see why this place has a generous rating. They have a beautiful spread of fresh greens (which all seem to be on steroids ?) and sooo many wonderful options to add to your individual hot pot — love that each person gets own pot.They have a great variety of noodles. All of which were good and seem freshly made. (Warning: Not recommended to binge eat a whole plate of them. They will expand in your belly and suffocate you from the inside out. ? You will not — I repeat — you will not be able to breathe or stand up straight…)The green tea ice cream — wow. ? I think I’d go there just for that!The team does a good job restocking and cleaning up the self-serve areas, which I greatly appreciate.The vibe is like an open cafeteria. Very lively, loud, and busy — not a negative for me.So, all that is wonderful. But their broths — not so wonderful. They left more to be wanted. And for that alone, I’m not tempted to go back. To me, it’s the broth that makes the hot pot. And I found their broths one-dimensional, lacking in depth of flavor.Their price point, at first, seems to be more affordable than an alternative hot pot spot like Shabu-Zen, which is pricey. But it’s not really by much and I’d rather spend the extra few bucks and splurge in Shabu-Zen, which I love.This is *not* a bad place, but to me, it fell flat, especially as hyped as it is. They up their game in their broths, and it’s a game changer.Bottom line: a solid 3 for the variety of options, generosity of items to add to your hot pot, and individual pots. I wouldn’t discourage you from trying it, but there are better places.

Ingredients are always super fresh with a lot of different vegetables, noodles and fishcakes to choose from. The food is consistently good, for a decent price, and one of my favorite places to eat in Boston. They also have gluten free options listed. On weekends it’s best to get there early (close to opening time) as the wait can be up to an hour (or more) at busy times!

Visited with my friends, this is a buffet kind of a restaurant, with variety of options for veg, non veg and seafood options, you select your birth and keep adding seasonings and veggies and meat, cook and have meal, tried grape wine which was good. Great for kids and families too. Long waiting queues , so arrive by planning.

This is an all you can eat shabu restaurant that has an enormous selection of veggies, noodles, sauces, dips, and proteins. For an extra fee you can get thinly sliced meat to cook as well. The ingredients have always been fresh and it's up to you to create your own tasty soup/meal.Unlike some other shabu establishments, you get your own individual pot, so this is good if people in your party have different dietary preferences. For example a vegetarian might want to start with a vegetable broth, while non-veg might want a pork- or other meat-based broth. There are a handful of broths to choose from. Or if you really want to customize, you can start with a pot of hot water and make your own broth using soy sauce, salt, spices, etc.This place tends to be super busy on the weekends, easily an hour wait sometimes during the most popular times. And during popular times you are supposed to finish your meal within 90 minutes of being seated. But if you go during the week, the waits are often shorter, especially after 8pm.Your meal is topped off at the end with self-serve soft-serve ice cream. It's usually a choice of vanilla or green tea ice cream - both are great!Vegetarian options: There is a huge selection of greens, roots, noodles, and sauces that can work with any vegetarian and vegan diet.Dietary restrictions: Your meal is 100% customizable.
