Loved this place!!! Family friendly atmosphere and delicious food. The only thing that disappointed wad the Caesar salad. Everything else was very good. Will 100% go back if we're ever in Boston again.

Highly recommend. From the fireplace in the winter, to the classy live jazz music they sometimes have, the food and staff are perfect for a steak house. Thank you to the team for our lovely reservation tonight

Great service: Thank you, Hannah!

Great food: Initially ordered my NY strip rare, sent it back with a request for medium rare and it came back perfect. Lesson learned. Hannah and the kitchen were very accommodating. We thought the creamed spinach was the best side. We also tried the loaded potatoes (not loaded enough) and the mac & cheese (good but not anything extraordinary). My colleague commented on how good his French onion soup was, too. Steaks and prime rib were amazing.

Nice atmosphere: We liked the atmosphere but kinda wished the TV screens over the bar weren't there. Without those, it would have had the quintessential old-school steakhouse vibe.

Overall, highly recommend trying this place out!

I came for dinner with friends and ordered the filet mignon medium, but it arrived nearly well done and burnt on the outside. When we mentioned it to the waiter, the response felt rushed and slightly frustrated since the kitchen was closing, which I understand. I barely ate my steak and was disappointed it wasn’t removed from the bill.
Also the Caesar salad was bland, though my drink was very good and the atmosphere was nice. Overall, the experience didn’t justify the $100 price, and I won’t be returning.

Went with a friend on a Friday night. Had a reservation and seated early. However asked for a booth. Told they were booked. Hmm. Never filled during our time. Seated at a really large table in the way back. Weird for 2 people. Small glass of wine like quarter filled. :(
Ordered the prime rib rare. Came out overcooked. I sent it back. Second one same. Was told they cook no less than med rare. These were med well. Asked to speak to manager who was very sympathetic and offered to take off the bill and gave me another piece to take home. Still was not rare. I appreciate their efforts to resolve the issue but if they didn't have it rare I should have been told. I would have got a steak cooked to order. $48 FOR JUST MEAT and have it fail 3 times is enough that I won't return. My friend got the fish special. Said it was bland. Received broccoli instead of the spinach she wanted. $10 bad potato was good. Our waiter was great. But the meal not so.

The waiter was so rude. He throw the steak knifes at us. We asked for medium rare steaks, he brought us well some steaks and expected us to accept them. He never refilled our water glasses.the guy has no business being a waiter.

My first and last time at The Stockyard. I took my wife out for a Valentine’s Day prime rib dinner, and the experience was terrible. The requested prime rib was so overcooked it tasted deep‑fried, and the 20oz bone‑in ribeye was just as bad.

To make things worse, a staff member spilled a drink and a whole container of water all over me. At that point, there was no reason to continue our reservation. Management showed zero empathy as we were leaving and still expected me to pay full price for an uneaten dinner minus the overcooked prime rib.

I do not recommend this place to anyone.

We ordered a tomahawk steak and requested it medium temperature. We got something that was definitely well done and somewhat burnt. The server tried to show me the center of the steak, then she just looked at me and said, “yeah, that’s not right”. It’s sacrilege to waste such a beautiful cut by burning it beyond recognition. We’ve had better steaks at restaurants that don’t specialize in steaks. Service was great, though, unfortunate that the food wasn’t there.

Went there with my boss
Ordered so called “filet club”. I was asked how I like the filet to be cooked, I said “well done”, after they brought me the filet I regretted since it was freaking burnt! Well done does NOT mean burning the meat and brining it to the guest !

Michelle is hands down one of the highlights of Stockyard in Brighton. She’s welcoming, attentive, and knows exactly how to read the room — whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or settling in for the night. Her cocktails are consistently well made, and she’s great at recommendations if you’re unsure what to order.

Beyond the drinks, Michelle brings great energy to the bar. Friendly without being overbearing, professional, and genuinely makes you feel taken care of. It’s bartenders like her that turn a good restaurant into a place you want to come back to again and again.

Stockyard is lucky to have her behind the bar.

Came during the Nor’Easter, we felt couped up and needed to get out. We’ve been wanting to try here for a while, to say the least we left very happy! Our server was very attentive, sides and apps were delicious, steaks were cooked well and the espresso martini is perfect. Even during a storm, there were multiple tables and guests enjoying the bar. Says a lot about the place! Wish them nothing but the best and hope to be back soon!

Used to live in the neighborhood, but it's been a while. Different owners nowadays... but great food, service, and atmosphere is still the thing at the Stockyard.
