Strega Restaurant delivered an unforgettable evening! The ambiance was cozy and elegant, with impeccable service that made us feel like VIPs. Our pasta dishes were bursting with authentic Italian flavors, perfectly paired with a robust Chianti. Highly recommend for a special night out—five stars!

A great restaurant, food was outstanding! They serve bread with oil and vinegar, which was very nice. And the Celtics game was on, no sound but we got to watch it from our table, so a perfect night!
Had the best night celebrating my husband’s birthday at Strega. The drinks, appetizers, food, live entertainment, and vibe was fabulous!!! Waiter was fun, food came out without a long wait and hot. The only thing I would recommend is a cocktail waitress as getting a second round was a challenge. Small venue so I would say parties bigger than 8-10 is a challenge. We were 10 and tight. We will definitely be back for sure!

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed. Our server made us feel like family. I believe his name is Carlo. And there was another gentleman as well but I didn't catch his name. Both of the gentleman were great! From talking about travel stories to helping us keep our kids calms with tricks and laughter. The best was when they put on the birthday song for our son, knowing it was his 2nd birthday. The little things matter the most. The food was amazing and the wine recommendation was great. All good things. Planning to go back very soon. Worth the almost 2 hour drive. Everyone was welcoming and very attentive. Thank you!

Great vibes great food, great waiter, we came with a group of 10 and we split some meals. Upon our surprise there was a $50 “splitting fee” added to our bill. The meals were not pre-split, we had to split it up ourselves and put it onto smaller serve plates to share amongst ourselves. When brought up to our waiter, he didn’t seem to explain or understand our concern. For a $50 “splitting fee” I’d expect the food to be portioned for everyone who split the items on separate plates. This seems like we’ve been charged for extra smaller plates and seems very scammy. Would change this practice.
Great place, hip, trendy, food is so good. A must try!

We were hesitant after reading reviews, but have always loved the sister restaurant Nico and thought we'd give it a try with friends in town visiting. We did go early - so I can see how some of the complaints of loudness could be worse when it is packed - but it was not too busy when we dined and it had an upbeat atmosphere. We love that they still have the old vibe of Nico with the clips of The Godfather playing on the tv and our young adult kids and friends liked the modern music that was playing - which I could see could be a bit much if the restaurant was also loud when full. The service and hospitality from the front door to our server was beyond welcoming, friendly as well as knowledgeable without being intrusive. Perfect! The food - while pricey - but that is true of the majority of Boston restaurants - was delicious. We always get the giant meatball appetizer at Nico and it did not disappoint here at Strega. SO good! The whipped ricotta appetizer was also great. For meals, we had a few different ones, but the standouts were the Gnocchi Sorrentina (my husband LOVES gnocchi and has eaten A LOT ;-) and this was by far some of the best and most melt-in-your-mouth that we have eaten. The other standout was the Fettuccine Strega - the fettuccine itself was great, the scallops were cooked perfectly - but the shrimp - I must say was just a tad overcooked - and the only other complaint is that you only get 2 scallops & 2 shrimp - but the cream sauce with asparagus more than made up for that - SO delicious. We will definitely return in the future!

Ambiance: confetti from NYE stuck to the floors and chairs. Had to sweep them off before I could sit down. I do not know if the heat was broken or the building is ill equipped to handle a Boston winter. Every guest had to wear their coat to dine because it was frigid inside. Noticed they put a new clean table cloth over an existing dirty table cloth after each table leaves. Food: calamari and Caesar was good. You can tell the Caesar dressing is homemade. Veal chop came out raw but was reheated to the proper temperature. Whipped potatoes came out cold both times. Service: solid and professional
We had an awesome New Years Eve dinner! It was so nice watching the owner just look around and take it all in with a smile on his face!
This restaurant is totally overrated. The dining room is small with tables touching one another so there is no privacy at all. The menu is boring and the food itself was way below average. I ordered eggplant rollatini and if there was any ricotta and eggplant in the dish it was not discernible due to the excessive amount of tomato sauce covering it all ....I took two or three bites and left the rest. The noise level was horrendous. Blaring disco music. Why? There are so many other great restaurants in the North End....avoid this one at all costs.
Unbelievable food and service. We went with a work party of nine people , and we were taken care of from the moment we walked in.

Very loud for brunch. Wait staff slow to take drink orders and longtime to comeback and get brunch order. Then no follow up.
