they have a very long time waiting for the food. But I promise it’s worthy. The food is great and they are nice. Sad to see the Google review score is low

The food is *fantastic*. If you value flavor over decor, this is your spot. Definitely a new favorite for me! The rice roll was great and hit the spot on a cold day. I also got the double skin milk which way like a sweet firm custard. Really fantastic. I highly recommend both and am sure I’ll be back soon!

It’s nice and good made it just too expensive… otherwise I will come back all the time.

Susu Gourmet is my go-to spot for authentic, home-style Taishanese food. Their famous clay pot rice and rice rolls are absolute must-haves. Every visit feels like being transported back to a cozy family dinner, with a steaming bowl of nourishing soup on a quiet Sunday—just like being at your grandparents’ table!! Please show them all the love!

Very authentic and delicious Cantonese food with warm services. The rice rolls tasted just like what I had in my childhood back in Guangdong China, so good. The soup is also of high quality, clear but flavorful. The clay pot rice is well cooked, smelled great and tasted even better. This is truly a good restaurant with careful and sincere attitude in making delicious food.

Honestly, the atmosphere is not that great, only 4-5 tables, kinda small. It’s not fancy dining, but the server lady is super welcoming and nice. Most importantly, the food is delicious! It’s my first time here and I am shocked by how delicious the foods are!!! The Clay Pot Rice is better than the one I had in NYC, and the veggie is so tasty! I absolutely will visit this place again!!!

Delicious, authentic, will keep you coming back for more! the cilantro rice rolls are vegan friendly and people say their chicken feet are the best around. Absolutely love this spot!!

Very unique authentic dishes at SuSu Gourmet! You'll have to go with someone who grew up in China to introduce you to the menu though. There's a delicious stew you have to preorder a day ahead using a whole chicken stuffed inside of intensine. If you are less adventurous, they have great clay pot rice dishes. It is a little crowded here, so make a reservation if possible.

The most authentic food that I have ever had in the US, also very new customer friendly. It is an experience you should never miss out on.

Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian options while many dishes can also be modified to be vegetarian too.

Welcoming and outgoing staff. Rice roll is authentic and made upon order (very fresh). If you are in Chi Town, this is a really solid choice to visit!

I ordered coconut chicken soup, but it was mostly pork bones instead of chicken. Why??

The eel claypot rice is delicious, and other dishes are of normal quality. Unfortunately, the durian double-skinned milk was a little sour when I ate it. I feel that it may have been stored for a long time, so I need to pay attention to it.

The claypot rice is all rice and costs $50, which is not cost-effective.
