- I ordered a chicken salad on toast with no tomato and still got tomato.
- I asked how many slices of bread came with the toast, and the Barista reacted as if I’m weird and shot me a dirty look before realizing what I was asking and apologizing quietly but the energy was still off.
- I asked about the back room that was closed to patrons out of curiosity and the Barista responded with “That’s for us.” As if I’d personally insulted them for asking. It’s all in the tone + reaction.
- The place itself has good bones and is very charming, it smelled really nice inside.
- But overall I felt like I was intruding in the space, other patrons would come in and the staff would welcome and chat with them, but the eye contact and body language made me feel like I was unwelcome. God forbid a customer try someplace new. I don’t think I’ll be back unfortunately.

Was a really close walk from where we were staying and the ambience was really nice! We ordered an extra hot cappuccino, it was definitely extra hot but it was more of a latte. Server was really nice as well.

I paid $5.80 for a steamed milk with some syrup. No coffee. Just steamed milk and a bit of syrup. It was average size. Nothing large! It was nice. But I actually could not get over the price. More expensive than any other drink on their menu and when I checked with the server she said it was because they charged it as a latte. Still - $5.80?!!!! For just milk and syrup. I’ve never paid that much at Starbucks or anywhere! (I do appreciate the owners feed back below. Correct, nothing on the menu is that much which is why I checked. There were two ladies, one seemed very experienced but she just said that was the price 🤷🏻‍♀️.)

The barista black hair is kind of racist with the Latinos. I wouldn't come back. I'm a resident and I pay taxes I do not live from the government. I just wanted to buy a coffee here but with her attitude and the side eye, I prefer to spend my money somewhere else. The coffee isn't great. R: that she is a "descent" means nothing with her attitude and that doesn't prevent to someone to be racist

I’ve really wanted to like this place because of the great location and super friendly service. But after visiting multiple times, I’m sad to report they’re among the worst lattes/food I’ve had in Boston. And they’re charging Tatte level pricing. No wifi either, btw.

I've been here several times because I live down the street. The biggest issue is they seem to be understaffed...every time I go it takes a really long time for even the most basic orders. A bagel toasted with cream cheese took 25 minutes, and that was after standing in line 15 minutes to order!

The coffee and breakfast sandwiches / bagels are ok, but definitely do not seem fresh baked or anything. It's a shame because the place has so much potential as a lovely local spot and I'd rather support them than the Dunkin across the street. But please hire some help!

After waiting 45 minutes for my 2 sandwiches, my 2 drinks were cold. When I realized the mocha latte I ordered was actually a black coffee, the barista proceeded to imply she "did not know what I meant when I ordered". How does one get to a black coffee when they order a latte? Needless to say, I would not recommend this vastly understaffed establishment.

Just moved down the street from Sugarbowl. Was super excited to try this place since it's only a 3 minute walk from my home. Unfortunately, I was really let down by this place. We paid close to $30 dollars for 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees. Par for the course, but when you dish that much out for a coffee and a sando, you expect it to be at least decent. We both got extra shots of espresso in our lattes, and they were so weak that we couldn't even taste the coffee. It was like drinking pure iced milk.

Also, while we were waiting for our sandwiches, the whole restaurant started to fill up with smoke because one of the staff members must have burnt some bread. No biggie, mistakes happen. Unfortunately, the burnt bread that filled up the restaurant with smoke ended up on our sandwiches. I made a joke to my partner "watch, that burnt bread is our sandwiches." Sure enough, my joke was accurate.

The staff was friendly and the service was good, aside from the bland coffee and burnt sandwiches. Maybe they were having an off day today, so maybe I will give them another try in the future.

Delicious and affordable. Worth the 7 1/2 hour flight! The flavored coffees are so wonderful.

I was in Boston for a little while and this coffee shop was about 10 minutes away from my hotel by walking. I absolutely loved the pastries and coffee they had, very tasty. The women behind the counter were amazing and very helpful with coffee and the train lol.

It’s my first time in Boston and this coffee shop is 2 min walk from where I’m staying. Everyone was friendly and the coffee has many different flavors.
Also Frozen margaritas to go!!

Very much miss the vibe from before they started serving cocktails :/ literally used to be a good family spot and the only place in the neighborhood to get ice cream. They had the best black and white frappe in dorchester. Wish they could bring just a little bit of that back instead of catering to yuppies

VERY slow service, barely anyone in the cafe and we only ordered 2 lattes. Took forever.

Weak coffee. Nothing special about the food. Seems family run. No smiles, no pleasantries. It's like you don't exist really. They'll take your order and give you your food, no eye contact or acknowledgement. Went twice since it's local, and each time there were policemen/firefighters. Maybe it's their quick rest stop.
