This is not AUTHENTIC pokè. Maybe I'm spoiled from having real pokè ( living West Coast) but this was a mediocre attempt. The ONLY saving grace was the yellow tail and salmon was fresh. That's it.
I was short on time and google this place as the other ones were a 30 min drive away. Reviews were okay some liked their sushi burritos /teriyaki bowls. I decided let's try it.
I knew it was over when I saw all that iceberg lettuce in the bowl.
1. You don't have shredded iceberg lettuce in a pokè bowl 2. Onions were sliced thick 3. No proper mixed in's or GREAT sauces for mix in and to top
Everything that I ordered was basically put in a bowl just the way I ordered it. Never heard of a mango sauce for pokè ?? It was missing a yuzu citrus or the very least Shoyu to make it flavorful then you have the creamy sauces on top. They didn't have those yet very strange bland creamy sauces.
Save your $17 and go where pokè authentic is made properly.
Very disappointing. Maybe their other " food " selections are better but my palate is discerning when it comes to TRUE pokè.

One of the best sushi bowl places around Boston! We drive an hour just to go to Sunny Cafe.

As good as it gets for sushi around Boston. Super fresh, good amount of options but not overwhelming. Poke bowls are awesome as well. Any time I pick it up directly the staff are super nice and helpful as well. If you’re looking for top-quality sushi, without paying downtown prices, order it here.

We came in on a weekday morning and ordered 2 Chasu udon. It was so delicious! Then we added an order of a Double spicy tuna roll, which was very filling.

The staff was also really kind! They made my order incorrectly and offered to remake it. It's hard to find good authentic Asian food in East Boston, so I was so glad to find this spot! I adore the Soft Shell Crab Roll and their Thai Tea! The prices are really good for what you're getting. Everything tasted really good, and the fish was very exquisite and fresh.
