I was a loyal customer for Tortas de Lengua (tongue, but now they make changes to the meal by adding fried beans, cheese, and jalapenos soak in vinegar, plus fries. I am really disappointed and frustrated from those changes. The fries are okay (more for kids), the taste of the lengua (tongue) is lost by the cheese, the beans and even more with the strong taste of the vinegar coming from the jalapenos. This is not a good combination, I recommend to go back to the original format of the Torta de Lengua.
Note: I am Mexican and always recommended this dish to none-Mexicans. Now I can't do that any more!

Had very worst experience, the food taste is so bad and bland, had chicken tacos, chips and salsa The salsa I had is worst taste and no taste when comes to tacos I’ll post a pictures it just had chicken in soft tacos no salt no taste nothing, don’t just waste your valuable time having this worst food and definitely not worth your money and time.

I was curious why this small hole-in-the-wall had over 1,400 reviews with such high ratings, so I finally made the pilgrimage to this humble temple of flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by how simple yet deeply flavorful the food was. The flavors are subtly different from the standard fare and clearly crafted with finesse. You can see straight into the kitchen from the counter, and it looked spotlessly clean. The space itself is small with only a few tables, and this is definitely food best enjoyed hot and fresh rather than taken to go.

Best tacos in Boston!!! The Birria is so crispy and juicy, I love the pickled onions!! All other tacos are really delicious, the rice and beans are well seasoned and yummmm!! Can’t recommend enough!!

update: was in the area and figured I'd try again, was worse this time, ingredients were flavorless and the tortillas were dry. This time I did takeout and the food was very poorly packaged.
Which is all a shame because it's a nice, clean, space, and the people that work front of house are very nice. I'd rather tip $20 and pay 20% for the food than the typical opposite.
Highly highly recommend! I imagine everything is delicious, but I had birria tacos, pozole, and chicken taquitos. The birria especially is bomb and it’s hard to find pozole a lot of places. Takeout was super fast to pick up and piping hot. Everyone in there was so sweet and I really can’t wait to go back. A great value and just all around awesome.

As a Mexican from SoCal, moving to Boston I did not have any expectations for their Mexican food but after being here for a couple years, I decided to give this place a shot and let me tell you it tasted so amazing and authentic I am so pleased to have finally tried it !! I got a Chile Verde tamale and Carne Asada sope and it was so good I ordered more food to take home!!
