A lot of their food is pretty good—it’s not amazing, and it’s on the pricier side for what it is, but it’s pretty good.
However, the service, in particular at this location, is absolutely terrible. I can’t believe how rude and unhelpful they are!
I stopped by for lunch today and ended up leaving without order anything because the person at the counter was so difficult I couldn’t even place an order with her. I asked for a simple substitution (halloumi instead of chicken) and she literally rolled her eyes at me!

The vibe is good. The cashier is super unfriendly, uneducated and impolite. She stared at me when I just walked for like 1 minute, so I said I need a few more minutes to decide what food I want. And she gave me a side eye with a really weird facial expression. Tatte better train their employees to be more professional.🙏🏼🙏🏼😸

So happy to stumble upon this place, the name drew me in, the bright airy space with the welcoming staff made me want to stay. Excellence at every level and some of the most delicious and visually pleasing homemade baked goods around. Total nachat-fest for me. Happy to give them my shekels! Next time I’m going to try the food. Hazak u Baruj! Love at first bite 😉

We came here twice for breakfast. The croissants are very good. I asked them both mornings to make sure they make my egg over-medium on my sandwich, but they got it wrong twice. Very runny but very good...so, I can't complain too much. I would highly recommend.

I’ve tried many coffee shops in Boston but always find myself returning to Tatte, particularly when I’m looking for more than coffee. The drinks are excellent. But the food sets it apart from pastries to hot breakfast items. All in a clean, modern farmhouse setting.

A nice bakery shop near South Station. They have free wifi and a lot of seatings. It's very nice sitting by the window looking at people walking by. This somehow took me back to London so it's very nostalgic. Breakfast was good, although I think it's a bit bland. The restaurant looks new and clean but restroom was noticeably quite dirty when I went, unfortunately.

The coffee is mediocre but has caffeine. However, while sitting there, I overheard the staff speaking absolutely horrible about some customers that had just walked out. Now I understand not every customer is going to be enjoyable but making personal attacks about looks and money is a low-blow. Furthermore to ha e done so, so confidently in a loud voice where others can hear it is just horrible.

Traditional breakfast - 2 stars
Baked goods & staff - 4 stars
No real cups for eat-in - 2 stars
Trad breakfast is beautifully described but ultimately underwhelming. Disappointed. The potato patties were dry and not warm. The poached eggs were tiny with barely any white and just plopped on the plate. Bacon was also not warm. You place your order at the counter and take a number. Proficient and polite staff - they warmed up my coffee for me - and the baked goods are solid. Nice open atmosphere with lots of seating and great location near South Central.

Solid place to eat today after the No Kings Rally at Boston Common on an amazing Fall Saturday in Boston!
Walking back to South Station, Tatte was a perfect place to stop to rehydrate and have some food before a train ride home. The cold water station was greatly appreciated; no coffee on this visit, but i look forward to it next time!
We each ordered a sandwich and can of tonic, with a dessert to split. The water station was also greatly appreciated. Then we went on our way home on the south shore.

Exactly why you don't trust tiktok influencers for good coffee... highly instagramable, but the food, coffee, vibes are undeniably the worst
