Our server (sorry can't remember her name) was very nice and was clearly very knowledgeable about the menu. I am coeliac and require gluten free food and the Mac and cheese was absolutely delicious. They even had gluten free beer which was an added bonus. My wife also really enjoyed her black and blue burger. Well worth a visit and we'll hopefully return the next time we're in Boston
Good place to grab some food before a game or event.. be prepared to have to wait, it gets very busy

My partner is celiac and Tavern in the Square had lots of gluten free food options for him to choose from, including gluten free fish and chips! I had the fish tacos with a side of tater tots and a blueberry beer, which were delicious. The place was vibrant and quite busy, but the service was fast. We can't wait to come back next time we're in Boston!

Fantastic food with a good atmosphere and lots of gluten-free and vegetarian options. My wife is Celiac and finding safe food for her is super difficult, but this place has a lot of options and the staff were both knowledgeable and friendly. Conveniently located near the Blue Line station.

My family & I came here because of their extensive gluten free selection. To say we were blown away is an understatement. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive to our allergy. The manager takes extra care for GF allergies, bringing the dish out by itself instead of with the rest of the food that could include gluten.
Our server E was welcoming, informative, & took extra care of us especially our allergy! We would highly recommend any other Celiac people to try this place. The fried pickles … were phenomenal!
Dietary restrictions: We have a family member with celiac.

Last week, we took my mom to a concert for her 60th birthday and were looking for somewhere to eat ahead of time. As it was a significant occasion and our group was large, we called around to a couple of places, including Tavern, to try to get a reservation. Everywhere we called said on concert nights they are first come first serve. No problem, it made sense and we planned to get there early to try to make the best of it. My wife and I arrived at Tavern super early around 4:30 to make sure we got our name in. The guy at the host station said as soon as half of our party arrived he would seat us immediately. Great, or so I thought. Not 15 min later, 3/4 of the group was in the restaurant and I went back up to the host to let him know. He said he’d text me when he had a table… not what we were told when we signed in, but I get it, it was a big group and the place was busy. 30 min passes, everyone has arrived, my wife goes up to check again. She sees an open table with one seat short and asks if we can just pull up an extra chair. They said no. The whole time we’re all at the bar, ordering drinks, trying to be patient. At around 6:30, 2 hours after we originally arrived, my mom goes up and asked for an update. She was told we would have to wait at least another hour because the owner was coming in and wanted the only table that could fit us all. To say we were disappointed was an understatement after all of the time we had waited, especially when we weren’t allowed to make a reservation but apparently that table had been reserved the entire time? What was even more annoying was they probably wouldn’t have even told us had we not been checking in periodically. Eventually, my wife went across the street to another bar as a Hail Mary attempt and explained the situation to their host. Even though they were also packed and it was last minute, they figured out a way to seat us within 10 minutes and we ended up having dinner there. If Tavern had just said from the beginning that they couldn’t accommodate a group of our size I wouldn’t have minded at all, but we wasted a ton of time and money waiting when they knew all along they couldn’t seat us.

This place was recommended by our tour guide. We went in for a late lunch. The place was busy and going. Some big parties, and we got sat right away. The server was great, told her about my allergies, and she was like No problem, I will take care of it. Was very happy about that. Got the nachos, and we finished very bite of it. My asian salad was great. My wife got ceaser salad with chicken, and my daughter got her usual chicken tenders and fries. That's her go to any where. If we go back to Boston, we will definitely go back to the restaurant.

They made my husband's sandwich wrong but fixed it immediately and were very apologetic. We had a wonderful time before a Bruins. The place was packed, but we were able to grab a spot at the bar after about 10 minutes. Service was quick and staff was supper friendly and accommodating

The food was excellent. Reduced menu, which made me think they were pretty good at what they had to offer, and I was right.
I sampled the General Tso, which was really tasty despite being random.
I sat at the bar and, I believe, the waitress clocked out without telling me, so I sat there for thirty minutes without really doing anything. Would have enjoyed tasting dessert. However, I lost interest after that. It would have been good, though, I'm sure.
