Thai Place Restaurant, in the Boston neighborhood of Allston, is one of many Asian options available here but, for me, this one stands out more than most. It’s a tiny but colorful slot with some very good and fairly common Thai plates. The meal I chose was Khao Kra-Pow Moo-Krob; a delightful dish of pressed crispy pork chunks stir-fried with bell peppers, string beans, and basil, in a basil sauce, served on rice. I also had it spiced up a bit. M’wah! Service was very friendly....
Please please fix the issue with the oily curry as described by another review. I love Thai Place and am so glad it reopened after the fire. I have always been a fan of the curry, but recently it’s been covered in a layer of oil as described below 🙏 I came to the reviews to find another long-standing customer describing the same issue.
Awesome Thai food run by some really nice people. Best and most authentic (to me at least, I’m no expert) Thai food I’ve had since returning from a few months in Thailand earlier this year. Som tum (papaya salad), basil fried rice, and mango curry were all delicious.
