We were a party of 4 - 3 with birthdays that week and 3 out of towners. We were shown to a table in FRONT OF THE BAR WHICH BLOCKED OUR VIEW. Only tables for 2 in front of windows. Huh?? After twisting arms we were seated at a table for 2 with 4 chairs. Way better than looking at the bar. The question anyone there we spoke to had: WHY DID YOU PUT A BAR IN FRONT OF THE VIEW???? IT WAS THE ONLY REASON WE WERE DINING THERE!!!! Since we had to pay for the "experience" before knowing what it was, we were not about to walk away from $$$. Move the bar to the opposite wall with a mirror behind it so anyone can enjoy the view. Nobody is going there for the food. Menu and pricing confused all of us. Way too complicated. There were vendors selling goods, which may appeal to some at Xmas. Personally I don't need more commercialism built into the holiday. I would not recommend the package. If you want to see the view, pay the $39 and go to a nice restaurant where food, ambiance and your experience is the focus. I left feeling like it was a $-making scheme. Really disappointing..

I booked a Celebration Experience for my girlfriend and I's anniversary and it was great. The staff didn't let the fact that we were there for our anniversary get swept under the rug and were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and portions weren't too shy. The drinks couldn't get any better as well. Great night.

View is great. Service was very good. Food and drinks were not prepared well. I found the food quality particularly lacking and the menu options acceptable. I would not recommend.

The appetizers we ordered were amazing. We got the clam chowder and the meatballs and we raved about both. They were so good. Then we got the short rib dish. Short rib themselves and the mashed potatoes were excellent but the over chard over lemoned broccoli was terrible. It really took away from my dish as a whole. Also, we got all one top off of water at the end of our meal (I guess I should know there was one also given while we were paying the bill-my husband laughed because I literally said oh thank God) which was upsetting because we were terribly thirsty and our waitress was nowhere to be seen, but the view was amazing of course and the restaurant wasn't noisy. It was nice and quiet probably mostly because it was pretty dead on a Tuesday night. overall, I don't know if I would be back. you have to, of course, pay to get up there in the first place and if I was guaranteed that the food is going to taste like the appetizers did I would probably go for it.

It was a great experience to dine with a view. The staff wer amazing but the food is not great. The main dish looks like it wS microwaved only. Very dry and wasnt palatable at all. Aside from that, the appetizers are not as bad as the main dish. The drinks are no good either. Overall , if your coming for the view yes., but if for food I wouldnt suggest.

Our brisket dinner was recommended by our waiter. We order 2. It looked like it was left over from a day or two before. The side of broccoli was not edible as it looked like it was overmicrowaved.

Such a shame that you have to buy a ticket to enjoy the view from the restaurant - and the food is not even good. There used to be such a good restaurant at the top of the Prudential. Great food, great decor, and great customers - local came regularly instead of tourists. I wish they would bring something like that back.

Hostess was rude. Waitress was fine but the hostess and told us we would have to wait since mgr was having meting with staff. Even tho it was 1205. There were no other reservations and she wouldn't give us a window table. St the tone for the whole lunch

Definitely a tourist spot. The food was just OK. The service was also just OK. I think the capital Grille would've been a better lunch for my cousins. We definitely wanted to go up there to see the view of Boston, but the restaurant was a little disappointing. I get the feeling they don't have enough People coming in there to make it a great experience. Their burgers were fine. Their french fries were fine and the chicken wings were great. But the salad was soggy so just don't bother with the salad.

Great experience overall, highly recommend. The food and service were excellent, cocktails were outstanding and the view of the whole city while enjoying it all was second to none. Make sure you get sat around the edges with a window view though otherwise I could imagine it being very different!!

I recently visited Beacon at View Boston and had a mixed experience. While the ambience and the view from the restaurant were absolutely stunning—especially at night—and the staff and waiters were very friendly and accommodating, there were a couple of drawbacks.

One notable downside is that you have to purchase a $37 ticket just to go upstairs to the restaurant, even if you don't intend to use the observatory. That was a bit of an unexpected cost and not the best part of the experience.

As for the food, while the appetizers (like the meatballs) were decent, the main course was disappointing. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken, which cost $33, and unfortunately, it was quite bland, dry, and tasteless. It felt like a waste of money given the otherwise lovely atmosphere.

In summary, Beacon at View Boston has a great view and friendly service, but be prepared for the extra ticket cost and consider your menu choices carefully.

I hate to give bad reviews but I got a chicken Cesar salad from this restaurant I was so disappointed but didn’t want tell the server I felt bad but here’s what it looked like. Soggy! And the chicken was terrible , very firm! I had to spit it out in my napkin discreetly, my sister got the lobster roll she liked it a lot

The service was amazing! The staff acknowledged my birthday with a card and dessert. The food was very good and the view amazing!

Great experience. All visitors to Boston should see the city from the vantage point of The View. Every time we turned a corner there was something different to see...whether it was the view outside, or the exhibits inside. The Sunday Brunch at The Bistro was excellent...I highly recommend the fried chicken and waffle or the lobster roll, and the Espresso Martini.
