The value for money is simply a disgrace. Having tried the hot dogs, the spinach pie and the sandwiches.... Could it not only be called a sandwich or bread with sauce? Where are the vegetables and meat for this price?
The hot dog is much better on the sidewalk in New York...
A taste disgrace, accompanied by its equally laughable chips.
In short, it is not for the sandwiches that it would be interesting to go there.

WARNING. A tourist trap that serves overpriced sandwiches on wonder bread. The hotdog was made of industrial sausage and the side was a pile of chips, which were probably Lays. The “cheese” looked and tasted like Cheez Whiz.
No prices are listed on the menu. Everything was served on paper plates, which I found to be wasteful. The flavored coffees also tasted artificial and bad.
A sad miss-representation of the New England hospitality!

Didn’t see that the sandwich came with fruit, especially some I’m allergic to. Had I’d known I’d want to replace it, and had to replace half of my order anyways as it wasn’t available and didn’t know until I was picking up the order. Food itself wasn’t anything impressive, vibes were cute sure but didn’t make up for anything. Overall I wouldn’t go here again

Do not order the $8 gourmet hotdog. It is in 0 ways gourmet, it’s what you’d expect from a $1 fast food hotdog snack. It also comes with an unadvertised bag of chips that you are paying for. Mine also had a plastic ring in it that hurt my teeth when I bit it.
We ordered two coffees (flat white and cappuccino). The cappuccino was Luke warm, while the flat white was boiling hot (which is good)

Coffee was alright, but service was bad. I recommend going to the other coffee place nearby if you want a welcoming service.

They had me wait 20 minutes for oatmeal while they called the police to come inspect me from behind, so they are racists here. Good oatmeal where they use pie filling inside.
It is true that this may be the cutest café in back bay! The vibes are truly immaculate. The Bittersweet Shoppe has an eclectic and interesting menu with many coffee and latte options that differ from your typical coffee shop. While my coffee was much too sweet and decadent for my personal liking (I tried the cherry cordial latte which is admittedly outside of my comfort zone for coffee, but a personally beloved flavor profile), the experience and sitting on Newbury St. with a friend made the experience wonderful. The staff was kind and their selection of foods and baked goods looked delicious! The cinnamon buns looked next level, and their grilled cheese sandwiches all sound unique and tasty! This is not a 'basic' café, and I believe there is an option for everyone here!

A nice place to sit down and relax watching people passing by on Newbury street. Loved the feta spinach pastry. Great coffee.

NOTE: This is for their lemonade booth stand they had by the Boston Public Library.
It was so good and refreshing on a hot day. The female staff was professional and courteous. When I saw all the bees buzzing around their stand, I know that likely would mean fresh ingredients and natural ingredients. I was not wrong. It was so good. I not too sweet. I now need to pop into the cafe, and review that. They took cash and cards, so super convenient.
Maybe they will do a hot chocolate and hot cider booth in the fall?
Update to come on the cafe itself....

This is like "the shop around the corner" with incredible service even when the place is jumping.
We love the hot donuts and can't wait to try everything else.
The coffee drinks are smooth and delicious without that bitter taste so many places have these days.
It also reminds me of my mom's aesthetic so there is a beautiful spiritual connection to the place
Go.

Such an incredibly charming cafe. I’d definitely recommend it as new favorite on Newbury. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly despite it being busy at the time of my visit. On top of my coffee, I enjoyed a parfait and the fresh fruit and granola was delicious. It’s the perfect place to stop and grab a quick bite while shopping.

Bittersweet Shoppe on Newbury is the cutest coffee shop in town! The iced coffees are delicious, often shaken to a cold perfection. Check out the decorations and treats all year around. My husband loves their homemade lemonades and the grilled cheeses are the best! Can’t say enough good things! The owner is so nice and d kind. Highly recommend!!
