Went back to the original Daily Catch. Even though you might want to believe this is a tourist destination, it isn’t. There are some things you just can’t recreate. The original still has the secret sauce that can’t be replicated. Try the clams in white sauce, prawns in a tomato sauce, and the swordfish. Thank me later.

Incredibly bland. I mean even the sides. Service and atmosphere are fine but when it comes to going to a restaurant for the food, there is certainly better choices.

Long line? Yes. Life changing lobster pasta? Also yes!
Super fresh ingredients, al dente linguini soaked in the seafood gravy. Calamari salad was ok. Only complaint is that the complimentary bread was too stiff. The restaurant is a cramped space so not good for long chats, but the food makes it worth it!
Beware you can only order one time, so study the menu well!

Make sure that you hit up the ATM prior to stopping by this place for the absolute best seafood pasta you can put in your face. They only accept cash, and are serious about that. They were keeping a teenage customer at a two-top table until she and her date paid their bill (they only had a credit card & mom showed up with cash). This is a hole in the wall kind of spot, with the food prepared feet away, and served in pans. No glass cups- even for wine. Leave pretense at home, and just enjoy the good food, made reeeaallly well. The black pasta will live in my dreams.

We ordered the $105 lobster Fra diavolo for two. Enough seafood and noodles.

This was one of my favorite places. Came here more than 20 years ago a found it to be the best Italian food we had ever tried. On this visit, after some time, I think the quality is going down a bit. While the appealing of the place is still there with the small restaurant feeling and all the pastas that made it special before, the quality of the cooking is not to that high level it was before. Don’t get me wrong, the pasta was OK, but I did not come here for OK pasta. I came for the best pasta. That did not happen this time. Also, be aware this is a cash only restaurant so you have to prepare to fork $100-150 cash, which it many people carry these days. Give it a try but keep your expectations in check as you may have a better experience.

Overrated. Tiny space, you wait outside for ages, they have NO RESTROOM (what restaurant doesn’t have a fricking restroom?) and they only accept cash, which means they must be avoiding tax in some way. The waitress was rude to my friend who wanted her order slightly changed (and got it done that way last time without a problem with another waiter.) She embarrassed her and made her feel uncomfortable. I ordered Prosecco—it was partly sparkling water I would bet on it. Oh and what’s with the plastic cups?? Are we teenagers at a high school cafeteria? Are we not paying for real glasses? Last but not least my meal was nothing special. I chose linguine with red sauce and it tasted bitter, there was not much flavor in the linguine or the shrimp. Absolutely overrated, they enjoy the Little Italy hype so I guess people are fooled into thinking the place is actually good, but it’s just cramped and tiny and having to wait in line makes it seem like it’s cool and trendy 🙄

We had to wait for a long time. The bread they served was cold and stale. The olive oil was the worst I ever had at any italian restaurant. The calamari meatballs were also not hot and the taste was average. We had the combo seafood pasta where we found a sharp shell, which almost hurt my husband. When we informed the waiter, they ignored it as if this is quite common! Shocking!
We were happy with the overall taste of the main dishes but really disappointed with the service!

Small place, but got in right away. We were by the kitchen. Bring cash! No cards accepted. Big portions, enough to share!

Great place. It was our first time in Boston and we found this place in the internet. It was amazing. Great Italian vibe (confirming as Europeans!!!), superb food and drinks and the best service. The food was so fresh and well prepared and tasty. We got to try the wine before deciding on one. If ever back in Boston, we will definitely come again.

Definitely a great atmosphere. Don’t go here if you expect to not wait in line. Just expect a line, period. It’s an intimate setting, as in you’re close to everyone else, but in a good way! We ended up sitting family style with 2 other families and had the best time talking and meeting new people. Good food, new friends, and excellent experience.
