After driving by this small and unassuming place AND seeing it on phantom gourmet, I decided to try it out. We ordered several sandwiches and mini cannoli for a work luncheon and decided to try somewhere new. WHAT A HIT. We ordered the roma, the godmother, the godfather and the namesake, the dirty italian. They were all the perfect ratio of meat to bread to dressing. The bread was soft and fresh. Talya was so helpful in coordinating the order and delivery. We also have a gluten allergy in the party and TDI was so diligent in preparing and marking down the order. It was an absolute breeze! And the mini cannoli......omg?! the little cinnamon in the shells. omg Can't wait to try more of the menu! I really thought about gatekeeping this place, but I truly can't help but exclaim my praises! My folks thought it was better than pauli's, sam lagrassa's, and monica's! Thank you to Talya and her hardworking team!!

Tayla and her team catered my daughters wedding in May 2024. All the guest were in awe of the grazing table and the main courses were fantastic. Her team was great and went above and beyond to make the day great and easy for me. Highly Reccommend!!!

Just had lunch here. Very nice place. Subs were great. Clean and very friendly employees.

The owner is very friendly, nice store....A little (or lot) more Oil or Balsamic and real hots for free and you've got a winning sandwich.

Talya from the Dirty Italian delivered the charcuterie board of my dreams for my wedding! Her professionalism, customer service care and attention to detail is spot on. She listened to all of my ideas and put together exactly what I envisioned and more. It was beautiful and balanced. Full of delicious goodness that my 200+ guests Thoroughly enjoyed! So much so that there wasn’t a single piece left. That has to be some kind of record. LOL 100/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!!

Super disappointed in my recent delivery experience. Both sandwiches were made very wrong, even though the order was super simple. One sandwich was missing more than half the ingredients (cheese, lettuce, dressing all missing, so it was dry and tasteless) and the other had multiple incorrect ingredients added that I didn't order, one of which I have a serious allergy to, so it had to be thrown away.

So two sandwiches at a cost of $35 (and that's before tax, tip, and delivery fees, so double it!), and neither was edible.

I worked at an Italian deli on the east coast for 4 years and I'm a bit of a sandwich freak, so I was so excited to have a homestyle sandwich during one of my very rare visits back to the east coast. This was so disappointing I honestly can't stop writing about it lol. Good luck if you order delivery here, maybe have a back-up plan!

What a hidden gem this place is. Quality, fresh food at reasonable prices, the type of place if you walk in when really hungry you could spend some money. Oh and the place is spotless. One negative is parking can be difficult, other than that this place is legit!

Ordered the turkey sandwich and was very disappointed with it ! The roll was old and stale and there was very little turkey on the sandwich
Paying over $16 dollars for a sandwich that’s served on a stale roll with little meat leaves. Me feeling ripped off! I’ll stick with the Southie staples of Rondos , Sals , Doughboy and Alfredo’s that serve big sandwiches on daily fresh bread and don’t price gauge you by charging $1.50 if you want hots or pickles ? Cmon that’s ridiculous! Those add on are free at every other sub spot everywhere? Stay clear of this overpriced place that will be gone in a few months and stick with the places that’s served Southie for years! When you serve overpriced sandwich’s and you can’t even use fresh bread
You’re not getting my business again!

OUR FAVORITE SPOT!!!!!!! Hands down the best Italian spot & sandwiches in Boston - not only is the owner the absolute best, but the food is unbeatable. Always the freshest food and the best sandwiches ever. The Dirty Italian & The Dom are our personal favorites but we also love trying new things from the prepared food section too. So happy this came to Southie!

I’m a local barber and have been hearing about this place from my clients how good the subs are. One morning around 9:15am decided to go grab a sub for breakfast but the place was still closed. Tayla, the owner, was already there and when I asked if she would be able to make a sub, even tho they haven’t opened yet, was very nice of her letting me have one. She suggested the spicy italian and it was on point. Their pasta and olive oil are the best you could possibly find in Boston. Don’t even ask about the lobster rolls, go check it yourself. This place should be 5.0 stars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
