Had a bruins watch party and ordered sandwich platters and pasta salads for 20+ people at the last minute and the dirty Italian hooked us up and it was the best italian food in the city. HIGHLY recommend. I will be back.

My 1st sub was delicious so I decided to go back 1 week later ,but this time I ordered the 'kickin chicken' but unfortunately it looked nothing like the picture it looked like veal!!?? I tried it anyway that was a big mistake I don't know what I was chewing and spit out, but it definitely was not chicken!!?? How disappointing!!?? That sub looked like your name 'Dirty' !!?? I am not going back to 'The Dirty Italian' for my 3rd time!!??

Ordered online and was a good experience. It was cute inside and had lots of Italian groceries to buy. The staff was all friendly even though it was busy. The prices were awesome too for the amount you get. I wanted to love it but I just didn't unfortunately. The Italian sandwich was good, the meat was good quality, veggies were fresh and the bread was soft. My issue was it was just a lot of bread for the filling ratio so it was sort of over powering the meat. It also was pretty dry (ordered it as is), so maybe adding a sauce would help it out a bit. Overall, it was pretty good and inexpensive at only $13 for a regular size The Kickin Chicken sandwich was great in theory but unfortunately just didn't deliver. The chicken was dry and pretty thick and when coupled with the bread it just made it too dry that even the veggies and sauce on it did not help. May be better with extra sauce but would not get it again. This one was $15 for the large so again, the price was great but may not go back

Saw this place on The Phantom Gourmet and had to try it. I got the Hometown Hero sub, it was absolutely Delicious!! I would highly recommend to anyone!!

This place is probably the best in Southie for an Italian sub or equal to American Provisions and that's not saying much. I've been here a few times and it's overpriced and average. The Italian i got today tasted like something you get premade at Stop&Shop. Asiago cheese does not go in a true Italian sub. Not a fan of the mortadella they use either, it's very dark. I also wish they had better bread

Great local spot for sandwiches and quick lunch/dinner bites!! Love the variety this place has to offer. Very friendly staff featuring Dom and his Sister. Thanks so much!!

The bread did the sandwiches no favors. Flavors of the sandwiches were good, but not worth getting again due to the bread.

The cold cuts were dropped like a slab all stuck together. Very little taste! Yes they do micro wave some of the food. A real turn off!

Nothing special, to be honest. It was an average boars head deli Italian with subpar bread. Not worth the $16 especially with the poor service. The employees clearly don’t give a a flying “you know what”. Was told walk-in customers need to wait 20 min for their sandwich because they had a few online orders….half the staff was too busy on tiktok. Not a good look to keep everyone waiting like that….also your spanakopita is an insult to Greek people. Half the stuff in the store is just cheap import non perishables from Italy with a 600% markup. Has a lot of room for improvement. Hope the owners listen to this

Mother Theresa's Turkey was the best Turkey sub I've gotten in the city. Could not have had more Turkey on the sub. Unreal spot.

I'm certain I've never driven an hour in the rain and heavy traffic for a sandwich, but this sounded just irresistible. I ordered The DOM in a wrap. Oh, my gosh, how very delicious! Well worth the effort. I'll be back. And I discovered garlic parm Brussels sprouts. Thank you, Talya!

Let me preface by saying I probably came on a very busy day and toward the end of the day. They were out of bread, so my sandwiches were made in wraps. They were both doused in sauce - one in honey mustard and one in pesto. The pesto one was so oily that the oil leaked through the foil wrap, paper bag, and then my favorite tote. I wanted to like the food, but felt like I ended up spending too much for something I didn’t enjoy. In any case the staff was very nice and the shop is cut- I could see it being very good and I just had an off experience!
