With a price tag of $750 for the chefs whim and wine pairings for 2, Menton sets a high bar for fine dining. Unfortunately, it spectacularly fails to hit this bar across every possible dimension. An overall forgettable overpriced experience. The ambiance at Menton is quite nice. The industrial minimalist decor is appealing and makes for a non-fussy dining room. A great ambiance for a romantic dinner or an anniversary. The wait staff were all friendly and generally attentive. Service was a little hit or miss as it got busier around 7PM. Food was very disappointing. We were expecting more given our great experience at no.9 park , another Barbara lynch restaurant. Pasta was hard and the filling had no flavor. Who serves croissant with butter?? The bread was hard and flavorless. We ordered the chicken and cod for the main course.
