What a great atmosphere and stellar food, this is a top notch Irish Pub. However, what really sets the Green Briar apart from similar venues is their Sunday Night Comedy Show. This was a wonderful surprise! Hosted by a hilarious guy named Uri, Its free entry, superb lineup, and packed house made for an amazing date full of laughs... the best kind! Keep it going! -Kagan

Cool Irish spot for drinks and food. Features an open room with darts, corn hole, and plenty of tables. Also has a large bar for watching sports and relaxing historic vibe with excellent service!

Decent bar apps. Grat place for a day beer. Mini pool tables. Limited beer selection

With a great atmosphere, central bar, and numerous game tables, Green Briar is a staple of the Brighton Center night life.

Great clam chowder, nice homey Irish bar. Great place for a low key night out.

The atmosphere is really cozy with a nice mix of bar seating, tables and booths. Servers are very attentive and friendly and though I didn't have food, the menu is really solid with a lot to choose from at a fair price. Will definitely come back again.

Really hard to find parking. On the day I went there was a paint nite and they definitely needed more staff because service was a bit slow. Overall it was just okay. They also had live music.

Green Briar is a solid neighborhood pub. The inside is very spacious, so it's definitely a good spot for a group. The food is decent, although perhaps a tad expensive. I got a bowl of their famous clam chowder and it cost $8. It was good - definitely creamy. Drink prices are reasonable. I often come for their themed nights. They have nights with stand-up, live Irish music, DJ, and trivia. If you're in the neighborhood, it's worth a stop by, but it's definitely not a destination.

They have a free comedy night here on Sundays starting at 8pm and I really enjoyed it. This is my first time attending a comedy night in Boston in over ten years. It was a great group of comics and plenty of space for everyone to sit comfortably. This is a casual beers type of place. The food looked okay but no culinary masterpieces. I'd come here for the comedy night but the regular bar area wasn't so lively when we came in beforehand.

Good local spot in Brighton for a drink. Prices are decent and comparable with the location. Extensive list of beers on tap and in a bottle or can. Parking can be kind of a pain near here so plan accordingly. If I'm in Brighton I know where to go for a drink!

Really exceptional place to drink and dine in Brighton and watch some of the area's best comics do comedy on Sundays. Good-sized place broken into 3 parts-a game area, main bar area, and a side event space with another bar.

Ate here tonight with my wife. She had the Onion Soup, which was good. Then we both had the Steak and Cheese sandwiches which were incredibly salty. I ended with Clam Chowder which was probably one of the worst chowders I've ever had. It was pastey, tasted like old flour, barely any potatoes, very little clams. Worst part is that it was $6 for a tiny bowl.

Came here for a quick bite to eat and some beers with friends. Service was pretty slow on a Tuesday evening. We came here because they served food later than most spots around Allston. Food was alright, I mean, it's your typical dive bar quality food. Other than that, no real reason to come back other than for the beers.
