Nothing fancy - but you go here for the history. Great place to stop in after doing the Freedom Trail.

Amy, our server, was the best. Our group had some challenges and she accommodated us wonderfully.

Glad I stopped in, because of the historical context, but it wasn't anything special. Pricey at $10 for a beer, and no real drink menu. Sort of felt like we were bothering the staff.

They ripped me off $10 on my bill. Accidental or intentional, doesn’t really matter. Went there for burgers and beer with my wife last Friday, and signed the receipt for $83.00 total. Any decent server can do the math and figure out what their tip out will be from simple deduction. My card was charged $93.00. Did they misread the number “8” on my receipt and think it was a “9”? Did they take a pen and knowingly alter it to scam me for $10? Who knows. Either way that’s some Mickey Mouse service.I moved to Boston recently, and I really wanted to like this bar. I still want to. But it’s clear the people working there belong at Walmart. Or jail maybe.

Ate dinner there lastnight and the food was phenomenal! The main turnoff is the womens bathroom smells like death. They have huge tampon disposers that smell like they haven't been changed in over a week. I seriously thought i was going to vomit once I figured out were the smell was coming from. I could not get out of the bathroom fast enough! Luckily, we ordered the curry fries, which helped my nose recover from the smell violation it experienced. Burgers were great too! Our server may have been inexperienced. Waters not filled once empty, not cheerful, seemed confused easily, and didn't put together when we asked for a to-go box that it might be a good time to also bring our checks. So we sat there waiting for an unnecessarily long time for her to come back with a lot people waiting for tables. For the food, I would definitely go back. But for the love of God and women everywhere, change your tampon disposal units regularly!!! Absolutely disgusting.
The coffee was 4 hrs. Old, the hamburgers bad, the Rubin was dry and had very little taste. The fries were ok. The chowder was great. I wouldn’t go back. The price was too high for the food and drinks!

This has been one of my husband's bucketlist spots for years and we went on St. Patricks day weekend. Had giant pretzel and was tasty. Male server was a bit confused but the rest of the staff was great. Bucket list, check.

$20 cover for what?! The bar wasn’t even busy and a sub par band. The vibes were not it for St. Patrick’s day weekend.
