I came with my 18 year old and they almost didn't let me in. We just came to eat, it was around 7. The waitress was nice. The food was horrible. We got the calamari and sliders. The calamari was undercooked but still barely edible because we ate it. The sliders were nicely seared on the outside but totally raw and red on the inside. I don't even know how you could cook it like that. One was kind of ok to eat and another was only half eaten. It was awful. As a traveler I try to try local places but this was a mistake. It was a miracle that we didn't get sick!

Fun place for a dive bar. Good drinks and lively music. The highlight of our evening was Dave the doorman/entertainer. He gets everyone to sing along and have a good time and he's is a genuinely funny guy.

Kind of a strange little pub, but super fun on Saturday nights. The door guy, Dave, was amazing.

Went here for beer and bar games at around 9pm on a Friday. Both pool tables ($20 per hour) were unoccupied as was the whole of 2nd floor. Skee ball machines were broken which was a bummer. By the time we were done after 1.5 hours, the place got full with many people waiting for the pool tables. Go early if you want to get a game in. The bartender was friendly and even let us try a few beers before making the decision. Didn't try any food, so cannot comment on that. Will definitely return to have a pocket friendly yet good time.

Incredibly friendly vibe and very welcoming staff. It's a dive without being super clique-y. The burger melt is FANTASTIC, and their draft beer selection is great. Great portion sizesVegetarian options: Variety of meat free dishes and appetizersParking: Hub pub is on a street in the middle of Boston, so parking is a little iffy and requires parallel skills. However, there's a train station nearby and the walk is no more than ten minutes (if that)Wheelchair accessibility: It's not very wheelchair accessible. There are two floors with only a stairway between them, and the floor space can be tricky to navigate if the bar floor is occupied by patrons

Ok. So the food is pretty good. Chicken quesadillas was the best had in a while but the bouncer. What a racist bigot. Saw as he harassed people of colour at the door and while they sat at the bar. Sad way for me to see my Boston portrayed, so don’t go here if you are not white and male because he is aweful to the female patrons as well. Paid up and left.

Alicia by far is THE BEST Bartender in Boston!!She’s the reason we’re regulars here. The service is always top notch. Her demeanor is low key especially when the place is packed. The drinks are always on point. Not many bartenders in the city can keep cool when there’s multiple people demanding orders. The food is great! Never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere is second to none. A good mix of locals and tourists. Never a shortage of laughs. I highly recommend Hub Pub and be sure to ask for Alicia for the best service!!

Best pub in Boston. Sam Adam's Boston lager on tap so ?. The 2 ladies serving us on both nights we went were absolute pros. They were so busy but always friendly and chatty. Friendly crowd. Jamie the door man singing and getting the whole pub going just added to the atmosphere too. Food was Ok but this place was all about great drinks and service

Upon arriving, we were promptly greeted by Dave the doorman. He was jovial and welcoming. Besides this, service was very much absent. No one brought menus and we very much had to serve ourselves. After waiting around 10 minutes, we ended up ordering our meals at the bar. The food came but our chicken was missing the sauce and no one came by to check on us or bring any water, napkins etc.Dave set a great vibe with upbeat music. He really made our experience. Otherwise, the food is what you expect at a pub.

This place was packed for the time and day we visited and struggled to get a seat. Despite this, service was quick and staff were chatty. Large beer selection but definitely not the same as British pubs! We enjoyed our time here, though, and the free shots of whiskey helped too!
