We stopped by for drinks , so my 5⭐️ rating is for my drink only. They have the best hot chocolate. I know?!!! Yes, at the bar!
Good food, fast and sincere service, real atmosphere of Boston

Very disappointing food, all in small serving sizes: from the cold Parker House Rolls, to the lukewarm, fatty beef stew, to the dry mini Boston Cream Pies (not slices). As the restaurant closes at 2pm, this bar allowed us to cross off the hotel's 2 famous foods: the rolls and the pie. Service was impeccable, as was the ambiance! But, alas, the food 😢
The food looked delicious. However, the servings were small, and the rolls and stew were cold. When the waiter came to check on us, as soon as I said the stew was cold, he whisked my bowl away to heat it up. We assumed the famous rolls were supposed to be icebox cold. But now I know they should have been warmed.
The Boston Cream Pie dessert is actually a 2 layers of (dry) sponge cake with a thin layer of custard between, topped with a thin layer of hardened chocolate. The outside is covered in crushed almonds. We both thought this famous pie, invented by The Parker House, was just so-so.
Of note: There is a no restroom in the restaurant, nor on the same floor as the restaurant. Bring your own hand sanitizer.

Stopped in for the famous original Boston cream pie. Francesco was AMAZING and we loved the pretzel bites and Boston cream pie was delicious. Better than expected with no custard and not too sweet! Highly recommend.

Some desserts are good. Some are unforgettable. And then there’s the Boston cream pie at the Omni Parker House, a dessert so iconic, it was born right here in Boston!
The sponge cake is feather-light, layered with velvety vanilla custard and topped with a glossy chocolate glaze that’s rich but not overly rich. Crushed almonds hug the sides, adding just the right crunch. It’s a masterclass in balance, sweet, creamy, and texturally perfect.
The Last Hurrah exudes old-school elegance, and when you pair that legendary pie with an espresso Martini and Irish coffee from the bar, it’s pure indulgence. The cocktails echoes the dessert’s flavors with creamy notes of vanilla and chocolate.
The vibe is warm, refined, and steeped in history. You’re not just eating dessert, you’re participating in a Boston tradition.

I have visited a few time on my trip and it is always on point. Today they had a hosted that clearly either does not like her job or is having a bad day. Her curt and unwelcoming responses and presence was disappointing.

Chowdah and Boston cream pie with bespoke martinis in the coziest, squashiest leather chairs ever! After a full day of walking we were welcomed in by Diamond at the host stand with a huge grin and such kindness that the moment quickly became a highlight of our adventure! Thanks Diamond and Omni Parker. If you’re reading this- add this brief but glorious stop- you won’t be disappointed!

When in Boston, I very much wanted to do the tourist thing and try Boston Cream Pie. Through some Googling, it sounded like that Omni Parker House was the place to go, with the attached bar having individual pies for purchase. We were very excited, went out of our way to come here to try them.
They were $17 a piece (for a cupcake sized pie), and to my disappointment, it was pretty dry and lacking flavor. My friends felt the same way unfortunately. The bar and hotel itself were extremely nice, but if you are coming here just for the Boston Cream Pie, you honestly would be better off splitting a full-sized pie from Walmart or a local grocery store for a much lower price.

The Boston Cream Pie is pre-made frozen and sooooo dry. Too bad. The service was excellent and the atmosphere outstanding.

Nice atmosphere, Great Service. However the Boston Cream Pie is not the best in Boston. I can’t tell you where the best is but it’s not here.

Went about 8pm on July 3, 2025 with my wife and 2 kids to have dessert…Boston cream pie. The doorman to the hotel was super nice. The hostess at The Last Hurrah, not so much. We asked for a table for 4. She looked annoyed and said there were no tables and didn’t know how long….when someone left one would be available and it could be 30 minutes or more. But that we would be next. I looked in and there was a table with 4 seats, but another group had their purses on it. I didn’t say anything and we said we’d wait. There were chairs in the hotel lobby area. We waited 30 minutes and were never seated. Right after we were told we were next a couple came in and she told him something similar to what she told us….but he complained about her lack of customer service and left. A few groups of 2 got seated. My wife decided to go to the bar and get dessert to go and we took it back to our hotel to eat it, missing out on the full experience and presentation of having it at the restaurant. It was good, and my wife said the bartender was very helpful. But beware of the hostess and her dirty looks and lack of customer service. We chose not to say anything to her as we knew it wouldn’t be helpful. They get a 2nd star because the cream pie was decent and we could have got the same thing at the the hotel prepackaged like we did getting it to go.

Had to stop by the Omni Parker House, for the Boston Cream Pie, and drinks. It is worth all the hype!!! We saw Peggy at The Last Hurrah, and she was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Her attention to detail was impeccable.
Peggy’s knowledge of the menu and drink selection was top notch. She made great recommendations and checked in on us just the right amount always available, never intrusive. It’s rare to find someone who brings that level of professionalism while still making you feel like a valued guest. She is awesome.
When you are in Boston head over to The Last Hurrah, do yourself a favor and ask for Peggy. She truly elevated our experience and made the night unforgettable. Five stars all the way! Only because I can give 5. It is a 10 out 10.
