So we checked out The Mission Bar in our neighborhood for the first time, and yikes! let's just say it was a culinary catastrophe.. Our server was exceptionally courteous and efficient, displaying excellent hospitality. A sweetheart, but the food? Not so sweet. The food's beautiful presentation hinted at greatness, but its taste sadly missed the mark. We sampled several dinner menu items. Regrettably, the quality fell short: some steak was charred beyond recognition, the fried chicken tasted like yesterday's news, and the salmon needed a salt detox. We were too starving to send it back after a long day. Don't expect a repeat visit from us anytime soon. ?Hint, hint: get your chef in check,Time to revamp the kitchen crew, and by the way, whose bright idea was it to sneak beetroot onto our plate??
Parking: Grab a spot on the side of the street, but don't dawdle - 2 hours is all you get. Boston's parking police are notorious sticklers, so follow the rules or face the music.

Great lunch, Great drinks, Prompt service....I could see it could get busy very fast and it is not a large space. I used to go here back in 2012 when I previously worked in Boston....I was glad to see it was just as good as I remembered

This is my 2nd time dining in for lunch. The first time I ate in I ordered the grilled salmon sandwich. It was really good. Today I had the hamburger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and honey mustard. Both sandwiches came with fries. The service by the waitstaff was good.

Great spot for American food and drinks. Got the pasta primavera and asked to add chicken which they forgot but honestly no big deal. I love crunchy veggies and the variety in this dish was perfectly satisfying that I almost forgot I even asked for chicken on it. The fish and chips were good too. Service was lacking but there was only one bartender and two or three waiters running around on Boston's move-in day so you can't really complain about that. Would definitely come back here again.
