I believe I had a uniquely bad experience. I went for a work dinner and ordered a nice steak mid rare. The steak came out well done, and I asked if it could be remade. They brought out the second steak after everyone was done eating and ready to leave, and the 2nd steak was cold and completely raw in the middle. The fat wasn't rendered at all so it was inedible. They didn't make us pay for it thankfully, but the urgency and care didn't seem to be there as I would expect with a restaurant at that price point.
The service was phenomenal, but the food was not as good as I remembered. 3 of us ordered the blue cheese wedge salad with fillet tips and asked for them to be cooked medium. 2 out of 3 arrived well done and the salad was not wedge style, but finely chopped lettuce with a very watery blue cheese dressing that was almost clear. Very disappointing.
My wife and are long term fans of the Palm on 50th Street in NYC, having celebrated our anniversary there for 8 years. So, we came to the Boston Palm with very high expectations. Unfortunately there is no similarity in either the service level or the quality of the food here in Boston. We waited 45 minutes for our oysters and salads. The oysters were not shucked properly, still attached to the muscles and too many shell fragments. The Caesar was neither fresh nor prepared properly. My son said that his fillet was fine, but my wife and I shared a NY Strip that was flavorless, thin and fatty. The carrot cake was enormous, but average. Apparently the manager on duty was also the cook and the bartender was also the pastry chef. It showed in both areas in the quality of the food. We came that day for my son's birthday and it was early on a Sunday afternoon, and the restaurant was empty, so maybe the food and service would have been better later in the day when the next shift was on duty. I debated writing this review but felt in fairness to the name and general quality of the PALM, that the management should know how Boston failed this time to honor the great name.
Best restaurant in Boston. Prepared a special table with the best seat in the house for me with a happy anniversary message! It was awesome! Thank you so much to everyone that helped prepare that. When visiting the two best plates are definitely the chicken parm and waygu bolognese. The best to do it in Boston!
Great service!! The steaks were cooked perfectly. They tasted better than I remember. Great quality filet!!
Had a Great lunch, our server was Amazing and very attentive, I'd recommend this spot before and I haven't changed my mind.
Patrick was a fantastic waiter. I sat with my son on the patio. It's a hidden gem for lunch during nice weather.
Celebrated a family birthday with dinner at the Palm Boston and the staff went above and beyond to make it a night to remember. The general manager Corey thinks of the smallest details to elevate the dining experience and make things very special. Try to save room for desserts which are all amazing.
Highly recommended, will definitely be back! Service was attentive, personal but not intrusive. Cocktails were refreshing and delicious, fried calamari appetizer was perfectly portioned as a starter, entrees were well presented and flavorful; and the carrot cake was the perfect dessert to complete a birthday celebration luncheon! Our table was decorated with confetti and a personalized birthday card for the guest of honor; well done and much appreciation to The Palm Boston staff!
Ordered a salad with dressing on the side (it came smothered in dressing) and ordered a filet medium rare and it came well done and chewy. Bad experience

We decided to do a night on the town in Boston. The Palm caught our eye and we were excited to start our night with dinner. While the ambiance and food were great our dining experience was not. We arrived and were seated by a pleasant and cheerful woman. We had a window seat and excited to watch the sunset during our meal. Our server quickly made our experience not so great. He did was very mono toned, no enthusiasm, seemed to rush us to order several times and seemed frustrated when we asked for additional time to make our selections. We left without ordering dessert and bummed service was not what we expected from Palm. We still tipped our waiter well over minimum but he deserved less. Our busboy was pleasant and outgoing. Before we left we passed our waiter and thought he would thank us for coming but he just walked past up with no emotion. We know some times we have good and bad days but at the least try to be cheerful in the few times you do approach your tables. I expected more from our experience and Palm. We dine at fine dining establishments several times a week so to drive 54 min to Boston for that experience was disappointing.
If you enjoy filet that tastes like pot roast, this is your spot. Plenty of other great steakhouses in the vicinity IMO.
Had to ask for the dine out menus. not given at beginning. Very slow walking hostess, i've really never seen something so slow. our table all made the comment once seated at different times, quite funny
Their shrimp rigatoni is amaaaazing!! Aether was our server and she was super nice
All was great until the waitstaff went into shutdown mode and started to clean up to go home. It was only 9:30 pm and we felt we were in the way, so we left with wine and food unfinished.
