Well done Smoke Shop, East Boston! I absolutely recommend it!I had lunch there today with two others. The food and service were excellent and the location is stunning! It was a sunny day so the sun was sparkling on the water :)) The restaurant is large enough to handle a crowd, yet intimate enough to enjoy it solo or as a couple. Between the three of us we ordered the Pitmaster Salad, Pulled Chicken Sandwich w/ Pit Beans, and the Pitmaster BBQ which includes two choices of meats and two choices of sides. I ordered the Burnt Ends and Pulled Chicken w/ Brussels Sprouts (w/ onion jam), and Zucchini Salad sides. The meats were cooked to perfection. It melted in your mouth and nothing was overly-sauced - just right! The Zucchini Salad was addicting. It had a nice dressing that added wonderful flavor to the salad. The Brussels Sprouts were tender and onion jam was the perfect compliment. If you're looking for a salad then the Pitmaster Salad is for you. It has a great balance of sweet and savory. It is great on its own or you can choose one of the meats as an add on... and you can never go wrong with their sandwiches. They are great anytime, anywhere! A big shout-out to Andy and Maria for making our afternoon so wonderful and memorable!

Excellent BBQ and an amazing view! The sides were all delicious as well, which is not always the case in some BBQ joints. They all had their own special flavor with just a little heat added. Will definitely return in warmer weather to get the full outdoor, water front experience!Edit:The BBQ pickles are great! My wife got a side of them and shared. She also raved on the Mac& cheese.

Had an issue with a gift card that the owner promptly and professionally resolved. You don't run across a lot of places who are quick to respond and solve these kinds of issues these days and it was greatly

Just got to say wow. We have been patrons of the Kendal square location for years and years. Probably one of our most frequented spots as a family. The food and service is always consistent. But this time visiting the new East Boston location it was a cut above. Fantastic quality bbq. Amazing helpful staff. Keep it up.

Came here on a Sunday to watch the patriots game and eat some barbecue with the family. Plenty of TVs. Great views out the windows. Family friendly and good food. Our server was outstanding.Dietary restrictions: They’re very conscientious of allergies and what is in every menu item that may have allergens.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids there the day we dined.

During a serene sunset stroll at East Boston's Marina, my cravings for BBQ led us to the newly opened The Smoke Shop. The Survivor episode I had just watched intensified the desire for some smoky flavors. The restaurant offered indoor and outdoor seating options, and we chose to sit outside to enjoy the refreshing breeze, finding the air conditioning indoors a bit too chilly. On this occasion, The Smoke Shop had just acquired their alcohol license, so we opted for a Non-Alcoholic IPA. Their recommendation, an IPA from the local brewery Athletic Brewing Co, had a good taste, but it lacked the characteristic kick of alcoholic versions. For our main course, we ordered the Baby Back Ribs, complemented by crisscut fries, beans, and sweet & spicy coleslaw. Even before our order arrived, our server kindly presented us with three types of sauces to enhance our meal. While the Baby Back Ribs were enjoyable, they didn't leave a lasting impression. Although good, they weren't exceptional enough to surpass previous experiences. The portion size was quite generous, almost overwhelming for a single person or even to share. My friend and I found ourselves unable to finish the entire serving, leading us to pack up the remaining portion to take home.

My family and I have visited the Kendall, and Seaport locations, but our lunch at the East Boston spot yesterday was out of this world. We were immediately greeted by friendly smiling faces when we walked-in. Juli J was our server and she really made the entire experience nothing short of incredible. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and Juli made sure we were really taken of - from crayons and coloring paper to keep our toddler busy, to rare craft beers from the Alchemist Brewery, and the most insanely delicious BBQ we've ever had - Juli made our time there unforgettable. It's really the people that can set a place apart and stand out in the sea of sameness, and I'd undoubtedly say that Juli has done that for this Smoke Shop location in Eastie.
