George Washington's funeral speech was given here. Some of the ceiling beams are the original from when this place was first built. The clam chowder is also one of the best that I've ever had.
I wasnt hungry when my family and I visited, but from what I saw, the food was wonderful. The staff were friendly and it was a cool experience to be in the same tavern Paul revere once drank at. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in Boston.

Stopped in after walking the Freedom Trail. Place was very busy and service was still great. Food was excellent. Clam Chowder and Lobster Roll was great. Would definitely recommend both.
