TLDR: Swanky views and jazz beats with upscale American prices. You come to Top of the Hub for the view and it does not disappoint. Food wise you'll have your option of upscale American choices with generous seafood options. There's an extensive wine menu and plenty of cocktails too. Food is decent and portions are filling. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the live jazz band on Friday night and I think the lounge is a perfect place to get drinks.

Great location. Good service. Friendly staff. Food was pretty average if you ask me. I came on my birthday and the server was really nice and gave my table and I a plate full of cookies. One or two cookies, great. But a whole plate? This is what I call great service! To be fair it wasn't just my birthday but my twin as well! The view here is awesome. You can see all of Boston, including Boston Logan airport. I would recommend making a reservation in advance and requesting for window seats.

The host was very friendly and accommodating. The reservation only accounted for five people, however, the sixth person was able to attend at a short notice. The host kindly added an additional seat and utensils. Top of the Hub is one of the well-known restaurants in Boston, offering an amazing view of the city! I'm very shocked to learn that they will be closing in April 2020. The drinks were great and delicious -- exactly what the server described. Though, the food did not meet my standards as some dishes lacked flavor.

I have never been but heard awesome things. Learned it was closing so decided now or never... We (group of 4) were seated pretty quickly, despite not having reservations because they were impossible to make. View was spectacular, and waitress was quick to greet us.....Thats kind of where it ends. Brunch $42pp with average drink $10-15. We all got a yogurt parfait. I ordered a grapefruit brulee (supposed to have carmelized sugar on top---it didn't)..One friend got shrimp & grits (was tiny) while other 2 got salads.... I ordered the classic eggs benedict, one friend ordered the stuffed French toast, another friend ordered the scallops, and the last person ordered the crab eggs benedict.... When the food came out the order was wrong, when they finally corrected it ALL the food was cold. Not warm, cold..... It was all sent back.....only to be returned cold again. Then to add insult to injury we didn't even have silverware to eat our cold food; we had to hunt someone down to try to get silverware, funally just stealing off an empty table. We gave up on it getting better and just sucked it up and just ate the food. Final course: We all ordered a raspberry lemon tart. It was so cold I had a hard time cutting into it, totally disappointed when I took a bite....basically sweet hard lemon frosting with rasperry jam shoved in the middle.....looked pretty though.... Rumor was is place was closing because the building would not renew their lease, but I wonder if it's really something different. So If you happen to make it here before they close for hood, please realize you're paying for the view not the food-- That way you will not be disappointed

Great staple of Boston. Came for dessert and wine. everything was great except we are very sad to learn they will be closing April 18, 2020. OMG---- get your last romantic dinner in with a view quick before time is up. Sigh

Service is wonderful but definitely not the food. Came here for the atmosphere and before they closed in april. Heard that the property owner gonna close it til mid 2022 but they still don't know what it gonna be. Definitely make a reservation before coming here even during the weekdays... I made a reservation at 545 on Wednesday, but the place was packed after 630.

Views, atmosphere and service are great. The 3-course brunch was delicious, especially the local scallops, although I wasn’t a fan of the desserts

The Top of the Hub has been and remains a Boston mainstay. The ambiance is second to none as it sits atop the infamous Prudential Tower and the views are stunning. That being said, there is more you should know before you decide to partake of this Boston staple. The place itself is beautiful. It is lined by two story tall glass walls from floor to ceiling with awe inspiring views of Boston and Cambridge. It is a man made Mount Washington in the midst of a cement jungle. The decor is hip and modern yet elegant and sophisticated all at the same time. The servers are polite, accommodating and attentive to your every need. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, the staff make the experience a memorable one. Where this restaurant falls short is in its offerings. The menu is generally very eclectic; and while eclectic can at times be good, the combinations are rather odd. The presentation is wonderful and lulls one into a false sense of excitement until you actually taste it. From the way the menu is written you would believe that your taste buds would explode, yet regrettably they are put to sleep with rather bland and under seasoned victuals. I have been here for dinner and for Sunday brunch. I have been underwhelmed by the dinner enough now that I most likely will not return for it. And while the Sunday brunch menu is limited and the portions are small, if you do in fact choose to experience this place, I would recommend that you do so for the Sunday brunch. I really wanted to be able to say that this place has it all, the look, the feel, the service and as a restaurant...the food, yet regretfully they fall short in their primary function.

To access the Top of the Hub, you enter through the glass doors and one person in your party has to show ID to security on the ground floor. Then, you take the elevator to the 52nd floor. Once you arrive, you can get a table with a view, as long as you spend $24 per person. Otherwise, you can just stand at one of two high tables near the band, and order drinks at the nearby bar. Last night when we were there, they had a great sounding jazz band with a singer. They were really good. The view of the city from this level is outstanding. It's a great place to be at night.

Had a fantastic meal here. The cocktails are great but huge! Really enjoyable to watch the sun set.

Great view while enjoying brunch. The chicken and waffle sliders were so tasty

Brunch was amazing. Chicken and waffle sliders are my fave. The lump crab meat with eggs Benedict is tasty too. Good service. Amazing view

It’s a must go place! Nice city view and drinks! A bit too expensive.
