Local neighborhood restaurant. Nothing fancy. The owner and staff are pleasant, friendly and they make excellent food. The carne con mariscos was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The salsa was unique, very fresh and with a hint of sweet cucumber in it, making it very different from traditional salsa.
I been going to this beautiful location to eat since I was a kid running around in Eastie. No matter how many changes happens whether the name or the owner, Soccer or Telemundo is playing, I love it. Anyways I had Lengua en Salsa (Beef tongue in sauce) and Higado Encebollado (Liver with sautee onions.) I cut it so you can see how amazing they cooked it. The drinks I had Coffee and Tamarindo. Indulge in the staples or everything else they offer, you cant go wrong.
Awesome little hole in the wall spot. Service was super friendly and accommodating, even with kids and our limited Spanish, and the food was utterly delicious. The Carne Asada was so flavoursome and tender, the pupusas warm and fresh, and the price point very reasonable. Definitely worth a wander if you’re staying in the airport hotels as we were. You won’t be disappointed.
