This place is amazing. Cozy, great service and affordable, delicious food. The Kuro (Black garlic Tonkotsu ramen) is one of the best bowls of soup you will find anywhere in the Greater Boston area.

Small but mighty, this is the perfect soup to fulfill the soul. I encourage the add-ons to the regular ramen. Cash-only, and there is an ATM by the entrance.

The prices are on the high side. The ramen noodles aren't very springy. There are no paper menus in the store; you have to scan a QR code to order. I personally think the soup flavor is too strong.

The food was delicious in every way and the restaurant is small and cute. I was asked maybe 5 times by several different waitresses if I was done over the course of my meal. As a solo diner this felt odd as I was actively eating thought it was on and off as I struggle with chop sticks still. Everything food wise was spectacular however the pressure for me to leave became evident overt time. Maybe it was that I only had enough cash for one bowl or maybe from communication in the back, but I was uncomfortable. Nevertheless I give them the benefit of the doubt and the yuzu shoyu ramen rocked! Will be back with more cash and hopefully a bit less rushed service. It was cash only when I went FYI!!!

*Cash only! * The BEST ramen we have eaten in Boston, hands down. A compact space with a robust tasting menu. Affordable (see picture of bill)!! Granted we only had water to drink but the food portion was perfect. The Truffle Shoyu Ramen was out of this world (my husband’s face said so with every bite). My Veg Miso Ramen was mouth filling. No need to add anything else to the plate because they were so delicious as served.
We will be returning!

Tora Ramen is the perfect Boston winter comfort spot—rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles that warm you up instantly. The ramen is deeply satisfying without being heavy, making it ideal for cold, snowy days. A cozy go-to when you’re craving something hearty and delicious. 🍜❄️

Awesome little spot in Boston, Chinatown.
Tora Ramen, Boston MA @toraramenboston
It has been quite a while since I've even had a bowl but I am wandering Chinatown Boston and decided to stop here on my voyage and have a bite. I was not let down! Broth (with extra spice) was the spicy tonkotsu and it immediately let me know that this was going to be a great bowl. It was spicy, but not unbearable (even with the extra spice added). It was flavorful and the chili flavors really came through. The chashu did not have any standout flavor (probably because of the spice I asked for) but still I could tell it was prepared over time with care and wasnt an afterthought. The marinated egg was the PERFECT balance of salty flavor and egg flavor. A+++ on the gooey egg deliciousness. The noodles were thin and more firm than I typically like but I still thoroughly enjoyed slurping these things up. I tend to make a mess with thin noodles and thin broth. Today was no exception. Good thing its winter and I am going to put back on my sweater and jacket over my shirt. 😅 Anyways, this bowl was great. I would highly recommend if you are in Boston Chinatown and looking for a warm bowl to stop here and enjoy. Until next time, Boston!

Some of the best ramen I ever had outside of Japan. I can highly recommend the Tantan Ramen with some extra Chachu. Simply divine! And their prices are very reasonable.

Love love love this place so much omg. Fav ramen spot hands down.
This is a little cash only ramen bar with like 5 tables and two bar like seating arrangements. the waitstaff are friendly and unobtrusive, often allowing their guests to eat at their leisure. the kitchen literally whips out their bowls in minutes. Sometimes guests have to sign up and wait for their table outside (visitors beware, it gets cold + very windy in Boston).
I come here fairly often and have tried most of their ramen bowls. My personal preference is their Aka ramen with a few select extra toppings. Since I usually come here for dinner I'll often order sake and a cheeky little app to accompany my meal.
(I am being so FR about coming here often, some of the staff know my regular order LOL)

the most attentive, kind staff. Great food!
Absolutely hit the spot. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles perfectly cooked, and portions were generous. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. I got the Tan Tan and my husband ordered the Karashiro - both were excellent. Friendly, efficient service and a cozy vibe without feeling cramped. We’ll definitely be back.
