I was there to catch up with a friend so the quiet ambience and excellent service and food made Trade a good pick. We only had the grilled eggplant and my favorite tuna crudo bowl with water, but the bill came out to nearly $75 with tip. (This is perhaps due to inflation as I have not gone to eat out that often nowadays.)
When we arrived at TRADE for lunch, the noise level was high enough to make me wonder if we could hear each other. As ours was a late lunch, the place emptied soon, and was delightful from there on. The food was inventive and delicious, the staff welcoming and solicitous, and the bill, though on the high side, reflective of the quality. This was my first visit there. It won't be the last. Great location near South Station.
