Atmosphere was great, food was good, staff were very friendly. My only complaint is that we had a 6:30 reservation and did not get seated until 7:15. And, it would have been longer but another party cancelled. They were very apologetic but felt they could have at least offered dessert on the house.

Food and service were very good with one exception the dessert (tiramisu) was lackluster which seems like a layup for a well known spot in the North End.

Excellent! So many different flavors and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Not to mention the bruschetta - delicious!

Great food and service. Only disappointment was very limited dessert choices and no decaf coffee. But definitely would visit again.

Slow service. Bruschetta was yummy and very filling. My meal was ok and heavy on cream. I don't think I would go back.

Have dined here several times and have never been disappointed. The quality of the food is always excellent and fairly priced for the portion size they offer. One of Monica's great qualities is its friendly service. The wait staff is very attentive and can provide wine recommendations upon request. Kitchen service is generally quick even when the restaurant is busy and have never had anything cooked incorrectly. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant when visiting the North End. Will definitely be back.

1st time dining here and at the suggestion of a friend had tge parmigiana alla vodka...has spice but was the most tender perfectly cooked chicken parm I've ever had. Everything from appetizer to dessert to wine selections was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Second time eating here, the first time the food was better, however the food was still very good.

The food was phenomenal and the bartender and server were both very kind and attentive. The mushroom pasta with shrimp was especially good. The only hiccup was with the check in and reservations...make sure you have your email confirmation handy!

Food was incredible. Calamari was perfectly crispy, and sauces were amazing. Chicken alla vodka was a bit spicy but delicious with great homemade pasta. Gnocchi was soft and went very well with sauce. Espresso martinis were amazing, was expecting a design on top per photos online, but still delicious. Overall highly recommend, one of the best places in the north end!

This my second time at Monica's and my husband's first. We had a wonderful meal for our anniversary and cannot wait to come back. The pasta was so fresh and the plates' presentations were beautiful.

I've been here before and loved it but the service was soooooo poor during my last visit. Food and drinks are great but felt ignored by our waitress the ENTIRE night, took forever to get her to come over, 1.5 before we got food, and 20% was already on the tab... a tough night for them :(

This is my favorite restaurant in the North e
End. I know that's a matter of opinion but the brushetta was among the best I've had from a restaurant. Service was great and the Chicken Parm over penne was amazing. Calamari was also on point.
