Fantastic dinner and service! Enjoyed the wine, special appetizer, and four cheese ravioli!
The food was fine. The pasta was a little thick but the flavor was good. It was hot. They had to close the doors because of rain. Once a table moved they could open it, but we were already sweating over dinner. The service was excellent.
Monica's Trattoria rarely disappoints. The food is consistently excellent. The service spot on. A special shoutout to Norma. Attentive without being overbearing. My go to place when bringing out of town guests to the North End.
Loved the food and the service. Was a little loud and hard to hear everyone at our table and the tables were a little cramped but that is often the case in the North End. Would return for sure!
Very enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was very nice. The service was solicitous but low key. And the food was delicious. Would definitely return.
The entire experience was great. Our waitress Val and the entire staff were very attentive. The food was incredible, great flavor on all three plates we tried.
There was no A/C when we went but everything else about it was amazing, the food, the service...!
Like many restaurants in the North End, the doors/windows were open with no A/C. It was quite unfortunate that the dining area is directly adjacent to the kitchen and heat exhausts directly towards the table with no air circulation. Not a very comfortable environment to enjoy below average food in.

Whenever I'm in Boston I get to Monica's! Always delicious and the service is outstanding! Best meatballs ever.
2.5 stars at best for the price. The pasta was okay (we got the carbonara parm alla vodka) and the wine was awful (whatever the only cab by the glass is). The service was great though 🩷

Began eating here 10+ years ago and with the expansion and now new mgmt it has really declined. Food quality and availability is mediocre and service is very poor - was never the best but now close to the worst. I am now in search of a new go to Italian spot in Boston.
got the gnocchi here which i usually do not get at any Italian place and it was fine.

Had no problems reserving table. We opted for pasta dishes. I enjoyed the spaghetti with meatballs. Sauce was tasty and just a good classic plate. My husband opted for the mushroom and shrimp pasta and it was delicious. My only recommendation is for the service. Our waiter was not bad but there was space for improvement. We had to move the plates around the table for her. She never asked if we wanted to drink something else besides the sparkling water we ordered at the beginning. She did not offer dessert or after meal drinks. As soon as we finished our plates she asked us if we wanted the check. So we said yes. Felt a little hurried out at the end.
Great food, good atmosphere, great service. Had the calamari appetizer and it was huge and delicious. The carbonara was great and the sauce on the ravioli was exquisite!

Not good food, not good service, not good management. We ordered 3 items off their daily menu, 2 of which they didn’t have (daily menu!). The waitress took 40 minutes to return and tell us they were out of another item we ordered. I had to remind her to bring 2 things. One of the replacement dishes was so salty it had to be returned. We’ve lived in Italy; this was not good (Italian) food.
