ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
Somewhat cramped with limited seating, but they have a record/book store in the back to peruse while waiting for a table. The atmosphere was electric. Decor is charming, strong emphasis on cats and LGBTQ+ messaging. Cocktails were decent, but the food was some of the best I've had in Boston. Everything was cooked to perfection, crispy outside with succulent interior. High marks as a date spot, would struggle to get large groups here.
Great food and kind staff in a cozy setup. The record store in the back with books and cassettes was perfect for the short wait before we got seated. Food was super flavorful and every dish hit the spot. The asparagus and mussels were our favorite. The paella took a while but was well worth the wait. Side note: not sure if there are cats on premise, but my sister claims she felt a little tingle of her cat allergy.
10/10 for a calm chat and chow!
It’s a nice place! The wine selection is not the best in Boston, but they’re Spanish focused which is nice. The wines they offer ought to be $9-14 a glass rather than $14-21. The roll the dice for a drink is a novelty that is appreciated by the clients, but the server didn’t seem excited to go back behind the bar to get the dye. It could have been a very fun and excited experience, but the server did not seem happy so it killed it a bit. They brought a completely different cocktail to our table and we ended up waiting for the drink for 5 min after the food came out. The patatas bravas were good, but they were not generous with the portion at all! They serve bigger portions in Spain at 5 euro, and everything is supposed to be bigger portions in America at 3x the price! The classic margarita was good. The churros were 10/10, excellent and authentic.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The tortilla espanola was off the charts had to order a second one, the chicken and the hangar steak perfectly cooked and delicious. Legit spot
Great tapas and delicious drinks! The record & book shop was great too. Very unique spot!
Loved the dishes and the warm atmosphere here. There's a cute record shop in the back with a lot of fun represses and some used stuff.
Vegetarian options: Many of the tapas are veg!

1. The service was bad, we got seated at a very uncomfortable table on a corner and there was a lot of noise and the waitress was not attentive.
2. Extremely overpriced, the prices are insane for the amount of food they serve you.
3. The food tasted good.

A great experience and the food was delicious. The store is very small so definitely make a reservation and may be tough for large parties.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area! Tres Gatos provides a cozy atmosphere for the holidays and the most delicious food. I love that they switch up the menu frequently (while keeping my favorites on) so you can try different dishes. This past week I was able to have my favorite Paella and a new dish, the Roasted Cabbage. Don't sleep on the Roasted Cabbage!! Aside from the wonderful food - the service is also top tier. The wait staff was SO accommodating to my husband's nut allergy. They made dish alterations and confirmed every dish was nut free when delivering it to the table, which kept us at ease.
Following dinner we did some shopping at the record store in the back of the restaurant. They have a fantastic selection! They even helped me sneak a speedy Christmas present purchase while my husband was in the bathroom.

Cool little spot. Trendy/happening joint, but can feel a little stuffy at times. The food and drinks are pretty good, and again, feel more on the trendy side (if that's makes any sense).
