Umai is a small restaurant with plenty of seating, offering a variety of Japanese dishes. Their lunch set bento boxes, featuring fresh ingredients and generous portions, are a highlight. The bento boxes include a range of items such as sushi, spring rolls, and fried dumplings, along with pickles and delicious salad dressing. The restaurant also serves a range of sushi rolls, including popular options like the baked Alaskan roll, spicy Cali roll, and eel/avo roll. The fish is fresh and tasty, and the tuna is especially delicious. Lunch is especially good value, with satisfying dishes that come with soup and salad. The plum wine is excellent, but the mango Boba tea is not recommended. While service can be slow, the sushi is good, the bento boxes are a great value, and the staff are attentive and wonderful.
