Amazing food. One of the best chicken burgers I’ve eaten in US. Samosa chaat was really good too. Great authentic food.

Go for: An extensive Indian menu in a small shop full of references to daily life and culture in India.
Avoid if: You were looking for a full-service Indian restaurant (try India Quality in Back Bay for that)
Something surprising: The menu is quite extensive.
Reservation needed? No, counter service only
Overall . Not the best Indian food ever, but a solid option among the limited choices in Boston. Do yourself a favor and call to order ahead, and pick up when you get there. Otherwise, you may be waiting for a while.

Walked in because I forgot to eat lunch earlier. Told the staff I needed something spicy savory and fast cooking. Within minutes, they brought me a DELICIOUS chicken dish with the most delightful creamy sauce. The flavor profile was so rich. You could tell that the spices were cooked at just the right temperature to bring out the flavor but not so hot that anything would burn. The garlic naan was moist and steamy. This meal felt like a hug after a long day in the office. Also, the staff was so kind. I’d recommend this place to anyone.
UPDATE on 10/22: I ordered a chicken singh burger and it was…Perfect! The patty was so flavorful and seasoned. Their custom burger sauce made sure it never felt dry as I chewed. The burger also came with fries! Not just any fries but the most perfect masala fries. I used to think the best seasoned fries were from Five Guys…but it’s safe to say that the Sixth Guy works in Vaanga’s kitchen and makes perfect fries. As always, staff was friendly and service was prompt. Apologies for the lack of pictures. The food smells so good that I’ve already devoured most of it before I can snap a picture.

It was a last min plan to go to Vaanga and I am glad we did. We were so hungry and craving for some Indian food and this place has wide variety of items. We ordered samosa burger, paneer Kathi roll and egg paratha. I loved the paratha and my husband loved paneer roll. Samosa burger was good. Loved the samosa taste though it’s fresh. Fried were a must try, bundled with flavor. Would definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant owner, don't you supervise this restaurant? Aren't you thinking of increasing the number of employees? Did you know it's the slowest restaurant in America? Every time I go to pick up my order, the order is ready after 20 minutes and 30 minutes. I'm trying hard not to swear. You are a terrible restaurant

We ordered 2 Sunny Leone lamb combos. It was disappointing since the curry hardly had any lamb..more like minced 2-3 pieces. Last time, the same item had 4-5 good sized pieces. Taste was good tho.
We ordered 3 biryanis, they were exceptional. All of us really loved them. Only downside is there is no parking at all to dine in, one person had to wait in the car by the end of the street and other had to go grab the food. As an outsider to boston, its one of the best food i had during my stay.
