We have been fans of Vaisakhi ever since my family moved to Boston 2 years ago. However, the service has really deteriorated the past 1 year. In my two past interactions (in person and online), Vaisakhi has refused to give me tamarind sauce for my samosa orders, including wanting to charge me extra. If a restaurant wants to charge for something as small as tamarind sauce (which is normally standard with samosa), what else are they willing to burden customers with? Please improve Vaisakhi!

Food was decent. It could have been better. I ordered chilli chicken. It was heavily coated with some maida (refined flour) based coating and there was very less chicken texture. Because of this, it made the dish seem cheap. The Garlic Naan was surprisingly good! And amazing service and good ambience.

A nice neighborhood joint. The staff is friendly but not intrusive, and go out of their way to accomodate. (This is the best mint sauce I've seen so I asked for a small container to take home. The chef gave us a pint!)
The entrees were all good and neither over or under cooked; it seemed to have been done fresh for our order by an expert chef. Is there a weakness? The lighting could be turned up a bit and the chai fell short of excellence. Still, this seems to be the best Indian food in Brookline. I'm heading there now!

The server person took the mint paste and papad so fast spilling on my plate even though they were not finished.

This place is just incredibly average. The wrapper on all the samosas was way too thick, and the rest of the items on the sampler were over fried. I got the lamb vindaloo, and there was four small pieces of lamb in the whole dish. The Naan was much thicker than I prefer. It’s not cheap so for the prices, I would expect better quality overall.
Had the tandoori, lamb vindaloo, samosas and garlic naan. Loved it all. Will definitely be back

I have always had a wonderful meal when I have gone to Vaisakhi, take-out or when sitting down. The menu has quite a variety, making it easy to try something new every time you go.
Delicious, fuss free Indian food. Chicken Dopiaza and Butter chicken were superb, garlic naan was out of this world. All dishes hot, fresh and tasty. And at $77 (including 20% tip) for two starters, two mains, naan rice and two drinks, I think it's an absolute steal. I'll be back for sure!
