Lovely atmosphere, nice selection of entrees for all palates and diets. Food is fresh and well seasoned. The only entree item that was poorly executed was the Jasmine rice, which was dry. Also, they don't often change their appetizers--same items have been there for years. It would be nice to see some variation. The desserts were the least impressive--the bread pudding was fried and lacked the custardy feel one would expect from a bread pudding. Overall, a nice neighborhood...
One of our favorite spots in Boston! My wife and I lived in Jamaica Plain for 17 years (and were probably the first ones in line when Vee Vee opened) and moved to CA about 10 years ago. Anytime we come back to town, this is where we come first!
We've been to VeeVee many times as the food and the cozy atmosphere are consistently excellent, plus you can actually have a conversation without straining to hear. Don't miss having the wonderful gorditas or the seared tuna--and definitely the butterscotch pudding. You never feel rushed or ignored. . And in summer the terrace in the back is a lovely experience..
