Elevators old and not enough for the guests.
Staff unprepared and clueless.
Gaby, one of the recepcionists absolutely not helpfull at all.
I had ordered a salad with chicken . The salad had 5 green leaves , 2 half walnuts, some slices of beets and a few slices of chicken breast meat. The cost? $28. I also had just black coffee following the dinner. They charged $6 for it. It is a total rip off.
Stayed at the hotel. The decor is a little quirky but the hotel is clean and service is nice and timely!
Naomi was great! Love the ambiance!
Just had the flatbreads, very tasty. My friends silverware was dirty and second set was dirty. My friend's cismo had no vodka in it and it was about $24. Not that impressed with young servers and prices are quite high for mediocre quality. I did enjoy my drink.
After booking on Open Table, from the moment I called and spoke with Riley to move our reservation up an hour, to the our wonderful experience having Bernardo wait on us, everything and everyone was done with exemplary service. They even put a spicy sauce on the side knowing my food preferences without having to ask! A definite stop before the theater for us in the future!
edit: this is a review for the bsmnt cIub attached to the w hotel, but I couldn't find a separate page to leave it on...
I want to start off by saying that I wouldn't have gone to this club unless my gf asked me to meet her there. I usually go to Bussdown Fridays (QTBIPOC centered) at Legacy down the street for the same $20 cover, where I'm guaranteed plenty of space, cheap drinks, a place to hang my coat, and a fun dancing atmosphere.
The line for the coat check was very slow and when we finally got to the front they'd informed us they'd run out of hangers, so for the whole night I held my winter coat. With all due respect, the DJ announced himself as "Nathan from Los Angeles" and played "Like a G6" twice in the span of an hour. There wasn't really a lot of places to just hang out, and the music was too loud to have a conversation, so people weren't really socializing with each other. I will say we went on techno night, which may have curated a different vibe than we were looking for, but most of these points still stand with that in consideration.
The security was firm, but kind to the patrons. It wasn't really their fault that they were unable to break up the crowd, but most of my friends are under 5'6" and had trouble staying on their feet. The crowd was extremely thick to the point that we had trouble walking through it to get to the bathroom, so imagine how hard it was to dance. All in all it was not terrible and the drink I had was well mixed. I'm giving three stars for cleanliness and the fact that there was a gender neutral restroom provided as an option.
One would have the impression that this bar would be high end. It's the W, a premier brand, it's in downtown Boston...but sadly not. After being seated, it was 7 to 10 minutes waiting. I ended up going to the host station to ask them to send a server. When the drinks arrived it was clear we were not working with the top brass. With 3 bartenders working, none appeared to know what a twist was. Who the hell puts a lemon wedge on a $23 martini? I ordered a $20 maple old fashioned that was pathetic... crappy ice machine cubes like I was getting a coke at AMC theaters. The chair I was sitting in has all the fake leather peeling off.. honestly this the impression you want to make? It looks like the last crappy motel available off of Route 80 in Pennsylvania in a blizzard-+better than sleeping in the car I guess. The topper was they delivered the bill in a dirty folder. It takes two seconds to wipe it clean with water, but you can't be bothered to deliver the $76 dollar check for one mediocre burger an two crappy drinks in a clean folder. It this the state of hospitality in the post COVID world? I am not quibbling about the price, but you had all the elements to make it worth the money...none of which cost any more to do. But you couldn't be bothered.

Very mellow and sophisticated atmosphere. Service was perfect. Great place for a pre-theater dinner.
Classic hotel scene, nothing wrong here but don't forget to walk to the next spot. You'll be there before you know it.

Limited menu but great food and service. Ate twice during our stay. One problem. Not really wheelchair accessible. Tables packed too tightly, narrow aisles
Amazing food just wish they took credit card or debit card. Definitely worth the drive.
