Outstanding food. It is a small challenge to be understood in English. But everyone was very cheerful and helpful.

I love wai wai downstairs, and my friends will occasionally make me go to the upstairs one, (something about it being cleaner?? idk basement is the way to go) and the last three times i've been here, i've regretted it every time. How do you mess up someones order three consecutive times?!? or is it just me?!!? I'll ask for boneless chicken, with chicken liver and veggies and i'll end up with chicken w bone and no liver!! but I mean i'll still be back.. cuz the food is still good.

This place was once upon a time my favorite place for a rice plate, but I'm sad to say its has gotten worse and worse. I decided to stop by last week to give it another try, to my disappointment it's hasn't improved! I ordered the 3 meat combo for $10.50(bbq pork, chicken, and duck) the rice was old and dry with half a piece of Napa cabbage( is vegetables really that expensive?) the only meat that has meat was the bbq pork because it's boneless and the chicken and duck literally has only bones and skin. Really?! I paid $10.50 can you give me just a couple pieces that have meat?! What do you guys do with the pieces that have meat? I will never be back

This is one of the best and most authentic Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. The roasted pork and duck are absolutely delicious and incredibly flavorful. The beef chow fun is another favorite of mine. Definitely will be back!!

I love this place. Totally a hole in the wall, but they serve consistently good BBQ (roast pork, roast duck, chicken) over rice for such a good price. There is another place called Wai Wai deeper into Chinatown but I have gone to this shop for years and they've never given me a reason to switch!

They increased the price by reducing the amount of food. This little amount of food for $15??? Much more expensive than other places. On the other hand, the lady that took my order had the worst attitude. If you don't want to work, don't work. In the end, we are still the customer who PAY for food and service, not asking it for free. Never come back to thi place or recommend it for anyone!!!!

Very authentic Hong Kong style cafe, cash only, reasonably priced. Try the rice noodles with beef stir fried, yummy!

Still used same old plates, same portion rice less meat and the price went up to $11-12.

Traditional HK BBQ meats at a great price (comparable to quic pic and HK Eatery). I like this place because it's no frills and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. My go to is the chicken and duck leg rice (ngaap/gai bei fan) with choy smothered in there ginger scallion sauce! Their 3 meat rice dish is also a family fave (sam bo fan). For $10 - 11, it's a lunch/dinner bargain. The owners are from Hong Kong and the original location Wai Wai has been a Chinatown staple for more than 20 years. I like this location because it's cleaner and has the same food as the basement original.

Went today and prices were raised all the way up to $9.50!!! Was there just a month back and it was still around 6 or 7 bucks. They raised their prices but the food amount is still the same if not less. Never again will we be coming back. This is absurd. Even if they had to raise prices to keep up with rent this is not the way to do it if you're slowly giving less and less food. I can go elsewhere for more food and same price as it was before! A year before or so they used to give the green yu choy veggies now it's a couple of pieces of cheap napa cabbage.
