This place used to be good, but it is phenomenal now. Today my wife got the Mala Beef Brisket Noodles and I got the Chongqing Sour Beef Noodles and both were amazing! We even added extra beef while eating because it was so good. The portions are also fantastic. These are the best noodles in Boston. My only issue is I have to take my wife to Newbury St to get them! IYKYK!😁😁

Was hesitant to try this because of the reviews and options and their AI-generated menu, but these dishes were fire. 🔥

The mala beef noodle soup is just so numbingly tasty and is probably the only restaurant where you can get it in Back Bay. It's spicy but addictive and well-made, as it didn't feel too greasy. The noodles were alright, but the soup was definitely the highlight of this dish.

The spicy shredded chicken with peanuts was chilled and refreshing, definitely a plus for additional protein.

Didn't get to try the Mala Beef over rice, but I'm sure it was tasty as well.

I dropped the star because of the AI generated menu, it took me a really long time to figure out what I wanted to eat because the pictures didn't really give the food justice. I would suggest using AI only for menu items that don't have real photos in them because it really messed up my appetite haha. But glad the Mala dishes pulled through!

Stay away from this place! Me and my 4 friends, all 14, came to this place due to it having 4 stars from 700 reviews, but this was probably the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Let me break it down:
1. Overpriced. Requires a hidden 20% service fee at the start and ANOTHER fee for a party of 5 and over, not including tips.
2. Service. Ordered online through our phones, and, even when we were still thinking if this place was right, waiters noticed our doubts, reviewed our order online, and hurried up with our food so we couldn't leave since our food was already here. Waiters barely speaked to us, only did when giving us the check.
3. Food Quality. Food felt microwaved and low-quality. Gyozas lacked filling, and the noodles contained minimal meat, and the provided meat was cheap and low quality.

To add on, the menu images were all blatantly generated by AI. Took advantage of us being a group of kids and continued to proceed with their scam. Seek a different, better noodle place.

Chinese style Japanese noodle
Not what I expected

This was the absolute worst food I've ever had. To say they're the worst ramen place in Boston would be a compliment. We sat down and ordered through our phones (they did have appealing pictures and the process of ordering through our phone wasn't a problem) the food came out about 3 minutes after we had ordered. The meat in mine was caked with fat and was so rubbery I could only eat 2 pieces of it. I tried some of the noodles and maybe I should have expected this but it's legitimately the same as a top ramen packet from Walmart. The only difference being that it was overcooked and packed tightly still. So after trying to get through a few spoonfuls of the soup and not being able to I asked if I could just send it back and not get anything (I had barely eaten any). After our waitress argued loudly in another language with another waiter she went inside and came back out saying she couldn't take it back just because I thought it wasn't good. I tried to point out the meat and that I had barely touched it and she said she couldn't do anything. I would never ever eat at this place again and I'm disgusted they have anything near a 4 star rating.

Went to Wen's for the first time on a rainy, humid day with a group of friends. The staff were quick to combine tables for adequate seating and explained their newest menu can be accessed via QR code. This was actually super helpful as the QR code is linked to your location. Just a few minutes after I made my own tab for their Miso Ramen & Crab Rangoon it was right in front of me, delicious and piping hot.

Onto the taste - the Miso Ramen had a golden, savory and creamy broth, the meat, vegetables, and noodles soaked this in which made each bite even better. Their crab rangoons had a nice and crispy texture which i enjoyed. The flavor complimented the duck sauce. I'll note here that the staff were attentive and friendly, refilling our waters and being close by to answer any questions we had.

Our tab prices varied as we opted for independent tabs via Toast rather than using one phone as a group. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for. If I'm ever craving ramen on Newbury again, I'll be sure to come back to Wen's!

Wen's Yunnan Noodle & Ramen is definitely a good place to try Asian cuisine. I tried the Tofu noodles and it was delicious. The add on of Corn Pepper sauce made it more mouthwatering 🤤.

My friends from Thailand and Vietnam liked this place too stating, the food served is very close to the native.

Definitely recommended!

Have been going to this place since 2019. The portions size decreased significantly since then but still tastes good :)

The noodles had a nice texture, and the flavors of the tomato soup were strong although they weren’t my personal preference. The gyoza and scallion pancakes were crunchy and tasted good :)

I tried the tonkatsu ramen, for some reason it was fishy?? I used their qr code to order and was charged more than the price on the reciept??? Food was mid but charging me more than on the reciept is crazy.

Used to be my go to place but recently the food gotten worse. They swapped bok choy with broccoli for all ramen dishes which is a huge dissapointment. The beef gotten less and less more. The food is cold sometimes and they microwave it back.

It was an easy lunch with my son. You can order online and pay online as well. Skipped us the bother of getting the attention of the servers
